Adderall Manufactured By Teva Not Working (Page 56)

I have had two refills of Adderall 20 mg that was manufactured by Teva/barr (Teva) and it seems to have much less medication in each pill. Refills by another manufacturer work. This is ridiculous, and where do we report Teva and who can check each pill for amount for medication? I would gladly donate some of my worthless ones to the FDA?

A government agency? That’s not the problem. FDA or DEA isn't the problem. The pharmacy guidelines prohibit the pharmacist from making the choices to select the manufacturer via supplier to support the necessary solution that TEVA provides

You seem pretty certain of saying they did not break the law. You're giving them a bit too much credit. There's definitely ways through the system, you just need money. Anyways, there's lawsuits against pharma companies all the time. Jesus, just go look on the DOJ website.

And if you have any knowledge of the current situation with adderall shortages, you'd be aware of the fact that switching brands isn't really possible anymore. I'd be willing to bet the little money I do have that these recent batches have under 70% of the active ingredient in them. Teva has broken the law before, and paid out massive amounts of money.

Yes it's just for lab testing. How would that not do anything if you can prove the pills are garbage?

Unless there is some type of clinical or lab result of what your claiming .. you might need to be on another medication

Increase in demand

100mg/vial, 20mL (NDC 0703-5140-01) - Demand increase for the drug
350mg/vial, 30mL (NDC 0703-5145-01) - Demand increase for the drug

Something is definitely wrong with this prescription this month. It’s not working at all!! I am so frustrated at this point, this was the one generic that worked and now it where do I turn. Ugh 20 years on the same medication I know when something is off.

Do you mean Lannett? I keep looking into this about Teva being taken over by Lannett and I can’t find anything about it, I even work in pharmacy.

If this is true though, God help us. Taking over the last good manufacturer and replacing them with Lannett is such a horrendous concept they might as well be discontinuing Adderall altogether. Ugh.

Lookup "sovereign immunity". If someone was seriously injured or died from a drug. A suit against the manufacturer might be in order. But that is not the case here.

A drug not working like you think it should work is not grounds for a suit. There are rules for maximum and minimum active ingredients. But even if you proved with a expert the active ingredients were below minimum. That is not grounds for a suit. I do understand why you think it should be.

It is common for a drug to lose it's effectiveness after years of taking it.

You can report it on Med Watch. If you Google it it should come right up. I just reported mine, something is definitely wrong.

I just got Zydus which made me feel like garbage and kept me awake at night, and the Teva I received felt like I didn't take anything at all. The Alvogen that everyone complains about at least worked. Now I'm trying to get that one because even though I know it's not that great, at least it worked for me. Why are these generics so terrible? How is this even ok? It's so frustrating.

Patients not receiving the affects they want from a drug. Does not mean the drug is not being made properly. For example, how a drug is metabolized in patients systems can affect how the drug affects them. But that does not mean the drug is not being properly manufactured

Sorry but when you have been taking the same meds for 20 years and your med company sells this product to another company and it no longer works, this has nothing to do with your body, it's all about profit. I have had this happen to me not once but twice.
