I have made the switch from the 8mg films to 8mg buprenorphine tablets only. With all the research I've done and experience I do my best to stay away from actavis mylan and nowadays sandoz. I noticed everyone has enjoyed the Roxanne now westward generics amongst hi-tech coming in second/mylan. I have no experience with mylan bup and don't want to take the risk even as mylan has always been a waste imo. I'm not a fan of allergan (actavis) taking over watson so depending on the drug dispenses I most stay away. There are as of now 7 manufacturers of generic buprenorphine hcl 8mg (generic subutex). They are in order of my preferred with not much experience except with brand name: *roxanne (now westward pharma)- 54 411 *hi tech- 8 ^(arrow) *mylan- M924 *teva (allergen/activas own...

Does the Buprenorphine 8mg 460 work as well as 54 411's? I'm curious as I've seen other imprints, just not 460. Please let me know if they are better or worse. ## BETTER. The only thing is they taste a tad worse. I use 1mg a day and these are slightly smaller and worker slightly better in my opinion. ## Among other influential factors, some people may respond better or worse to the different binders/fillers upon switching from one tablet to the next. That said, the only true way to compare efficacy is to go through trial and error with both versions yourself and not solely based off someone else's feedback. Inactive ingredients in the 460 pill are: Lactose Monohydrate, Mannitol, Povidones, Anhydrous Citric Acid, Sodium Citrate, Butylated Hydroxyanisole, Magnesium Stearat...

I've been taking Buprenorphine 8mg for 3 1/2 years now, all of a sudden every pharmacy in our area (that I know of) has switched the manufacturer they are order from, frustrating to me as I just seem to see a difference all though there shouldn't be. Does anyone know a pharmacy that still carries bup mg with the imprint 54 411? ## Same here. Every store is on backorder for the past 7 days. I'm from mid south Pa. ## Same here!!! I'm from Salt Lake City, Utah, and I've been on it for 8 years now. It started a month ago, when the pharmacies were on back order for 54 411, and now it's EVERY TYPE of generic Buprenorphine from every manufacturer. Last week, I went to fill my script, and people were fighting over ONE BROKEN TABLET!!! I wish pharmacies, manufacturers, an...

I have been on the 54 411 bup tabs for 5 years. All of the sudden my pharmacy doesnt get them anymore. I'm very sensitive to medications. I cannot take these ones that they gave me. Someone said they are discontinuing the 54s. I am from central pa. I'll travel to get them, I just heard they aren't going to make them anymore. Please tell me this isn't true!!!! ## I haven't heard that at all. The Rhodes brand is the best brand out right now. It's definitely better than the hikima west ward brand also known as 54 411. They used to be made by Roxanne pharma years ago and were much better. Then in about 2015 they sold to westward and that's when they changed the formulation for the first time. I noticed big differences from month to month sometimes with this brand...

I have been getting the generic Subutex Roxane brand 54 411 Buprenorphine tablets for months now from Walmart pharmacy and the past two times I've gotten my prescription filled there, I was given a different generic made by Hi Tech with an 8 and an arrow. I asked them why the change because those little tablets just are not the same and they said the Roxane ones could not be ordered. I called around to other pharmacies I have gotten my prescription filled at before also and was also told that the Mylan M 924s can no longer be ordered either. What's going on with the Roxane and Mylan Buprenorphine tablets? Did they stop making them or is there some kind of shortage? I had the choice of getting the small Hi Tech tablets which seem alot less potent than the Roxane or the Actavis 15...

Hello. I have white round pills that say nothing else but "460" centered on one side. I was just switched from the Mylan brand of Buprenorphine to the Rhodes brand. I haven’t taken any of the Rhodes brand yet. I have taken Mylan bupe for several years and totally love it. The only other bupe I have tried is the hi-tech and it made me extremely depressed and I couldn’t function at all, just felt so much anxiety and wanted to crawl in a hole! Who here has taken Rhodes and/or Mylan?? Any experience, please share! I have a couple days left of my Mylan and then I’m on to try the Rhodes. (This is only happening because Mylan brand got thrown on long term backorder and Mylan says they still have no update on when it will be back) ## Hello MommaMurph, Sorry to hear that the backlog of your Mylan brand is causing you so much trouble. I'm sorry to have to tel...

I have been prescribed the 54 411 buprenorphine pills for about 7 years now. After my last doc visit I filled my script and they told me the same thing about the 54 411 not being available anymore and I got the 460's from them instead. My opinion...they SUCK! Feels like it has about 1/4 the amount of the 8mg it's supposed to have in it. I've been struggling all month with trying not to take more than I'm supposed to. I'm prescribed 1 8mg pill a day and have been happily taking that dose for about 3 years now down from 2 a day. Why this change has happened I have no idea but for me it's not a good thing at all. Besides the huge difference in price I have nothing good to say about the 460's. Does anyone know of a pharmacy that still carries the 54 411? I use CV...

So I went to the pharmacy yesterday to get my script and they told me they were out but they would have more tomorrow. When I picked my script up it wasn't what I normally get. They told me it was a generic but I have never seen them before and I have been in treatment for years now. I have tried looking them up but can't find any reviews or anything really on them. Has anyone ever gotten these? And do they work as good as the 54 411? Also it is kind of minty which reminded me of suboxone and I'm not prescribed suboxone. ## I just got them too. Ive never seen these before either but i dont notice the difference in how they work. I've been going to a clinic for almost a year now and each time I get prescribed 8mg Subutex. When I would fill my prescription I would receive 54 411 white tablets. Today when I picked it up I got M 924 white tablets. The only difference I've found is the manufacturer. The manufacturer for the 54 411 is ROXANE and for the M 924 is MYLAN. Are they pretty much the same pill just different imprint/manufacturer? ## I'm trying to figure out the same issue!! ## Yes, these tablets are just manufactured by different companies, which so very common with generics. The FDA classifies this medication as an opiate that is most commonly used to treat drug addiction. It has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and c...

I just took this pill from sun pharmacies and it had this mint like burn to it... If u are not allergic to suboxone can u be allregic to this pill?? They also warn that it could cause acid reflux. I've been prescribed buprenorphine for long acting pain management as well as Medication Assisted Treatment for 3 years in Palm Beach county Florida. I've always filled my prescriptions at Publix Pharmacy. I have 1 and 1/2 weeks left before I can refill. But Publix, all of them are saying their distributors are all out of stock. I've asked my pharmacist if this is normal, I was told no. I asked if he could find out quickly if this was permanent and he said he'd call both distributors to find out. Now, a week later, he's being evasive and says he hasn't gotten an answer. If I run out I could relapse, and I've been clean and sober for more than 8 years. I'm scared to death. Does anyone have any answers? ## Unfortunately, each month, every pharmacy is given ...

I see this group to be for support and information based on experience(s). So I will share mine regarding this horrible medicine with 460 imprinted on a round chalky white tablet. To say I had bad side effects is kind. Aside from the burning under the tongue, subsequent nausea, fatigue, depression, cravings, poor sleep, outbursts, after taste that took forever to go away, I really am a person that seriously likes to give something a chance. And this medicine for me was an actual horror of 28 days until I could get my Westward again. It made me dose off and worst for me was the cravings. I felt so awful all the time on the Sun Bupes I would start thinking about my old methods of feeling better. Not good. Suboxone and Subutex saved my life. After 40 years off and on finally I feel human a...

I've been using Mylan Labs for about 3 1/2 years and now they're on back order indefinitely. I went to another drug store that carries Rhodes Buprenorphine 2mg Sublingual. No one else could get the Mylan Labs, so I tried Rhodes and at first, I had problems, but I had to get the Mylan get out of my system partially, but now it's just as good, if not better than Mylan. My question is, does anyone know if Rhodes is going to be on back order? I'm screwed if both pharma's are, because Hi-Tech/Akorn labs carry it, but they suck so bad! Thanks in advance! ## Hi it's hard to say if the new Rhodes will be on back order. I'm thinking knot. They are still fairly new a lot of Pharmacy's don't even know they exist. Wondering what kind of pill this is? It has an M inside a box on one side and N8 on the other side. It's also orange and hexagon-shaped. ## Hello Barry, I hope you are doing well. I have found some information on your pill. The imprint of the M inside of a box is the mark of the company Mallinckrodt. I was able to find the manufacturers website and fortunately they have pictures of all of their generic medicines. The only pill that matches your description is an orange, hexagonal (6 sided) tablet with imprint 8N M, indicating Buprenorphine and Naloxone Sublingual Tablets. It looks like the marking is actually 8N, easily read upside down as N8. (NDC 0406-8020). Inactive Ingredients: - Acesulfame Potassium - Anhydrous Citric Acid - FD&C Yellow No. 6 - Anhydrous Lactose - Lactose M...

Can not find pharmacy again that has 8 mg buprenorphine by Roxanne Labs. Have a prescription but can not find a place to fill it in the Pittsburgh area. This is crazy, why does every place that carries them for a while stop. We are paying a small fortune for them. ## Hello, Jay! How are you? I'm sorry about the problem you're having. Since this is a generic, which one a pharmacy carries may vary at any time, depending on who was offering the cheapest price, via their distributor, whenever they needed to restock their supply. Is there a special reason it has to be the one from Roxane? The FDA classifies this medication as an opiate that is most commonly used to treat drug addiction, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness,...

Anyone know Tennessee pharmacies that carry or will order Hikma brand Buprenorphine? I was going to Knoxville for yrs but they wanted to play games with the price and I just cant afford $630 a month. I have been on percocet (10mg) 5xday, Oxycontin (80mg x2 & 40mgx1 a day), Motrin 800mg 4x a day, Soma 350mg 4x a day for YEARS. I WANT OFF - how do I control the chronic pain that started all this? I need to find a doctor to prescribe subutex for pain. Can Doctors in TN prescribe it for pain? If so, what doctors in middle TN do prescribe it for pain? I was on pain pills for years. They don't help any more. Only subutex does. Please help. I'm desperate. ## Hello, Robin! How are you? Yes, any doctor can prescribe it for pain. However, since it is a controlled substance, if you require it on a long-term ongoing basis for the treatment of chronic pain, you'll most likely need to see a pain management specialist. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. But you'll have to set up an appointment with a doctor, withou...

PLEASE ANSWER. I am in the program, take my Subs, and stay clean. The only thing I do is consume marijuana. I am going to give a friend a Sub and use his urine for the test. Question is, if I freeze the left over urine with the metabolized Sub next time I test (4 weeks later) will the buprenorphine still show up, or will buprenorphine be un-detectable due to freezing, time frame of freezing, de-thawing, etc.? Nobody seems to know the answer. ## will buprenorphine show up as an opiate on a urine screen the same as a vicodin would iam in a pain management clinic and am supposed to be taking vicodin but like these patches better when tested will it show up as just an opiate or something different? ## I'm in work release and get tested every week they use a 9 panel icup rapid drug test!...
