I was just prescribe Bupropion 150mg 2x daily. I also take Tramadol which was prescribed by the same Dr. I'm afraid to start the Bupropion because of the drug interaction btwn the two. Should I be worried? Can I cut the tablets in half & take 75mg 2x daily? ## Hi Donna, After looking over the interaction between these two medications, I can certainly see why you might be scared to take them together. The interaction I found states the following: "MONITOR CLOSELY: The risk of seizures may be increased during coadministration of tramadol with any substance that can reduce the seizure threshold, such as selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRI antidepressants or anorectics), monoamine oxidase inhibitors, neuroleptic agents, central nervous system stimulants, opioids, tricy...

Current Bupropion HCL XL150 MB TABGLO are yellow oblong pills that are press-stamped 681. New Rx refill is Bupropion HC XL150 MG Tablets are small white pills tab ink stamped WPI 3331...is there just a difference in manufacturer? ## Yes, that is correct, they are both the same medication, in the same dosage and formulation, just made by different companies. It is common for a pharmacy to switch which one they provide, depending on who was offering the cheapest price whenever they needed to restock. Is there anything else I can help with? ## What exactly is the difference in Bupropion HCL XL and Bupropion SR? ## I have been taking Bupropion HCL XL 150 mg round white tablets for several years. Several months ago, my pharmacist refilled my prescription with a different color and shaped pil...

Do the light green bupropion pills help with opiate withdrawals? ## Bupropion is classifies by the FDA as an antidepressant that is also used to aid in smoking cessation. In order for it to work, it must be taken regularly for several weeks. Its typical side effects may possibly include nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth and insomnia. That said, no, it likely won't do much to help with withdrawals. I think you may be thinking of Buprenorphine, the active ingredient in Subutex and coupled with Naloxone in Suboxone. It is used to treat drug addition. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with? ## They can help some. No...

Im looking for a list of drugs to quit smoking. Thank you ## I don't know all of them but the first ones that come to mind are the family of Bupropion such as Zyban, Wellbutrin, etc. ## These "how to quit smoking" findings are incredible! I really believe that these tips and devices can help smoking cessation. I particularly have found a brilliant way to stop smoking definitively. This is called Autogenic Training. It's not my invention. It is an Audio Program. It has lots of research to support the achievements of the method. In this method you will train yourselves to relax while reprogramming your brain in the way to stop smoking. It is kind of self anti smoking hypnosis. These techniques helped me to stop drinking alcohol. I really think that Autogenic Training will ...

Generic bupropion 75mg lavender tablet with gg 929 markings was miraculous for me. And i felt the antidepressant success almost immediately. Then i felt a need to increase to 150 mg by taking a second one 6 to 12 hrs later. I was also using percocet 5, prescribed for severe chronic pain. Suddenly, although weakened by running out of the percocet 5's, I FELT LIKE I WAS WEAKENED AND EXHAUSTED. COULD THIS BE A TEMPORARY SIDE EFFECT OF GENERIC WELLBUTRIN? The first time i took bupropion i experienced an increased energy level but i was taking percocet 5 for pain as well. ## Both Percocet, and Wellbutrin may cause tiredness, weakness, and drowsiness as side effects, they can also cause them as withdrawal effects. Ref: Percocet Information and Wellbutrin Information. That means it's d...

Has anyone had a problem when having to switch their medication to another manufacturer? For the past 4 months I have SUCCESSFULLY been taking Bupropion SR 150 Mg manufactured by Mylan, sold by CVS (it is a light green round pill).....Unfortunately, my insurance recently forced me to go through Medco mail order and I received dark purple round pills manufactured by SANDOZ. Since taking these purple pills I have become sick daily. I have been experienced nausea, not seeing clearly (double vision or something weird like that), vertigo, motionsickness, extreme temperature fluctuations, not being able to concentrate, etc, etc, etc..... So I immediately switched back to purchasing this medication from CVS (Mylan) and my nasty symptoms disipated quickly and I am back to "me" again! My...

Has anyone tried Bupropion XL 300 by Lupin - a round pill marked L016? Just received these from Walgreen's internet pharmacy and I'm very concerned. I started taking this medication about two years ago, the PAR generic, and everything was great. Then, CVS changed to Cipla and things got bad -- it was only thanks to rxchat that I figured out the problem was caused by the new manufacturer. So, I switched to Walgreens, which had Actavis. It was so much better for me than Cipla but not quite as good as PAR. Quite by accident, I found that when ordering from Walgreen's internet pharmacy I got the med manufactured by PAR. All's been good for many months... until I just opened my newest prescription and found it's by a newly approved generic by Lupin. Hopefully it will be f...

Does anyone else have Accord for the manufacturer? And do your pills smell like sulfur/rotten eggs? ## Yes! I just got my 150mg XL refill. the mfr is accord healthcare and they smell like rotten eggs. I'm not taking them. Going to try to get brand name. I didn't have this problem when I took 75mg twice a day. ## Some medications naturally have a smell due to the specific chemicals involved in their ingredients. You don't always smell it, however, because some manufacturers coat their pills to hide the odor. The FDA warns that Bupropion may also cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, mood changes, and dry mouth. Ref: Bupropion Information Is there anything else I can help with?

Both pills are from same MFR and are 150 MG. I know what they are but what is the difference between the 2? Why would same MFR make 2 pills with same brand and MG? ## They're not made by the same manufacturer, the one with the E 415 marking is manufactured by Sandoz Pharmaceuticals, while the one with the 737 marking is manufactured by Sun Pharmaceuticals. However, what often happens is that one company purchases the other and, when this occurs, they will use up the remaining stock of a product that they both manufacture and then one or the other will be discontinued later. Learn more Bupropion details here. Are there any other questions I can help with? ## Is sandoz e413 being discontinued

Mhich one is better? My son use to take bupropion Hcl 75mg from Sandoz Pharm. but when we bought our house and moved we swapped Pharmacies. They carry bupropion Hcl 75mg from Apotex Corp. I've noticed that he isn't able to focus as much, he impulse reacts more, and he takes longer to go to sleep, along with other small differences. Can this be because the bupropion from Apotex Corp. doesn't work as well for him as from Sandoz Pharm. I'm almost sure if it to be honest. Should I transfer and fill it elsewhere? ## Most defintely transfer script. Ive been taking Sandoz bupropion and love it. Had it filled the other day, they gave me Mylan brand and it did nothing for me except make my bp go up. Imo Sandoz is holy grail for wellbutrin generic. Hope he gets to feeling better!!...

I was taking the Accord version of Wellbutrin since last December and doing really well on it. Last month I got the Lupin brand and my anxiety came back over the few weeks I took it knowing I had a different manufacturer. My anxious thoughts I had before meds came back and I got back on the Accord brand six days ago but anxious thoughts are still there. I took the lupin brand all month. Any idea how long before I start feeling well again on my regular brand of Wellbutrin? ## Unfortunately, there is no way to say with any certainty, since we can't know if your symptoms are due to the change in manufacturers, if they are due to your conditioning worsening, or if you have built up a tolerance to your current medication and dosage. The FDA lists the typical side effects of Wellbutrin as...

Insurance no longer pays for brand name Wellbutrin XL as too expensive. I am in US and feel the brand name worked best. However, the brand name I got much cheaper from Canada looks a little different from what I was taking before. Instead of the whole name printed on the white round pill, it is marked W X L with 300 below. It also has a flat finish instead of the smooth coating. From Valeant. Is this pill really the genuine brand name Wellbutrin? ## I have been taking Wellbutrin 300xl for many years. I have been paying $5.00 every month! I went to the website for Wellbutrin and got the $5.00 copay coupon codes and they WORK!!! I did receive a notice from my insurance company that they will no longer cover the name brand, but the coupon code are still working!!! TY JESUS!!! ## Oh,... my ...

My pharmacy has been giving me refills of the generic bupropion for my last two refills that are manufactured by CIPLA. The pill is oblong and has the number 13 on one side and what appears to be a capital I on the other side. I do not feel that this generic is doing much for me. I have researched this manufacture they are located in India. Approximately 45% of the medications that are sold in the United States are manufactured in foreign countries. I am going to call my pharmacy to see if they can get one of the generics that were previously dispensed to me. The buyers for drugs at pharmacies look to find lower priced drugs, which I understand. I have been taking Wellbutrin XL 150 mg three tablets daily for about eight years including the generic form. This medication helped my severe ...

Do they work as well as PAR brand? Any other comments on this brand of Bupropion? ## Do not work as well. And couldn't return them. CVS still uses PAR and CVS policy is to inform before providing different brand. ## PAR Bupropion works better for me, (used 2 years). Get it in CVS by request only. I tried CIPLA for about 4 months, don’t like it at all. Back to PAR. ## Why didn’t they work? What were all your side effects?

I picked up my prescription for bupropion HCL XL and noticed the shape and imprint is different than it's ever been. It is an oblong tablet with "I" on one side and 13 on the other. There are no score lines. I'm unable to find it through any search and want to make sure it's the correct medication. Any help is appreciated. ## It's just a change in Manufacturer. I noticed the difference too today when picking up my prescription. If you go to Cipla USA's website, they have the image and description of the updated pill. Before this one, I had the round pill with A 101 printed on it, but that was manufactured by a different company. ## I have been trying to find this same pill I picked up at my pharmacy days ago. I haven't found any information on the XL versions of Bupropion by Sandoz. Can anyone share their experience with this pill? I just picked it up today. It's a white, round pill with ST 300 imprinted on it. A search on Sandoz's website came up empty. The NDC # is 0781-5529-10. This is the third manufacturer for the XL 300 mg that I've tried. Cipla's version gave me constipation, and I haven't had any side effects with PAR's. ## Hello, I'm not exactly sure what type of information that you're looking for considering you were able to not only give the imprint, but the NDC as well. For now I will simply provide you with all of the information that the NIH provides for this drug and then you can give me further instruction from there as to what you would l...

round off white with WPI 3332 ## It doesn't seem to have the same effect as wellbuterin xl 300. Headaches.... ## And you are just one of the many, many people in recent months who has complained about this exact same pill. Contrary to what you are told by doctors and pharmacist, generics DO NOT HAVE TO BE EXACTLY like the name brand, there are allowed to be some difference and for some people, even though these differences are considered minor, it is enough to mean that a generic will not work for them as well as the name brand. I suggest speaking to your doctor about the problem, you may need them to prescribe it as 'brand medically necessary' or see if other pharmacies in your area carry one that is made by a different company. ## Genetics were only required to have 80% of...

round pill pink 555 ## I was just switched from Bupropion SR 150 3x a day to Buprobion ER 200 2x a day. But the pharmacy label on the new bottle says Buproprion HCL ER 200 and below that generic for Bupropion HCL SR 200 but it's only twice a day. I thought only the brand (XL) was still the only 2x a day version. So now I'm totally confused about the difference between SR, ER, and XL. I'd been feeling worse, but the last 3x a day was for 150. So seems like now my dosage has been reduced? Does this make sense. (My doctor also has a pharmacy degree, and gets *very* annoyed at being questioned about my medicines.) I feel so dumb, but I just can't figure this out. Could someone here please straightened me out--unconfuse me? Thanks very much! ## Hello, Meg! How are you doing? ...

I started taking Bupropion a week ago and I quit smoking after 9 years. This works! ## Congrats James, great to hear a success story! Did you find the process pretty easy to follow, and do you have to taper down your dose at all before stopping completely? Also, what's your plan to permanently stay off the cigarettes once you are off the medication? Wishing you the best with this! ## Thank you Roy!!! Still on the medication but almost finished have no urge to smoke. Once finished will reply and let you know how it goes. I feel if I stopped taking this now I would not have an urge to smoke. Urge feels like it is gone. :) Will keep you updated my friend. ## That's great, hopefully the urge will not return once you stop taking the bupropion. But maybe have some ideas lined up for h...
