Congratulations on tapering off the opiates! That's no small feat by any means. It's also pretty amazing that you didn't experience any sickness in the process due to the help of Kratom.

According to the US National Institute of Health, Kratom isn't well understood in Western medicine; however Kratom's alkaloids reportedly play a big role in augmenting its effectiveness at mitigating opiate withdrawal symptoms.

You can read more about that in the link below:
ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3670991

Kratom's popularity has certainly gained a lot of traction over the past couple years in America, and I think all chronic pain patients looking for alternative medicine ought to research this plant and perhaps give it a try while it's still legal.

Where can I find kratom? I've been on painkillers since 1993. I had fractured my back. Then while I was healing they discovered I had SLE lupus. It's been a struggle with pain constantly. I can barely walk and my lupus has affected my lungs, kidneys, all of my joints. I have severe rheumatoid arthritis. My eyes have been affected and more. The pills that I take don't help much. Is kratom natural? I would like to try it. If anyone could tell me where to find it that would be great.

I have had previpus back surgery but i find aftrr about 8 years the pain retirning. I ended up with a severe case of sciatica. Dr. Would NOT give me any pain pills so went to a pain management dr. He put needles in my back first for cortisone shots which only worked for about 2 weeks . When i went back he wanted to do nerve ablation, so i did that. It stopped the severe sciatica pain but i still get bad leg cramps & still some pain. He wont give me anymore pain pills. I just want to be able to do things again, without all the pain. What are my choices??????

Yeah kratom worked for me to, but you have to watch it though, because you can trade one drug and get addicted to another.

It works. You can get addicted to anything if you keep taking it. Kratom (Mitrigyna Speciosa) comes from the coffee tree family. I have been taking it for a couple years, happy to say have not taken any opiates since discovery Kratom. Save my life, no question about it. As far as withdrawals from Kratom; they are not anywhere close or bad to the withdrawals from opiates. I am so grateful I found this real remedy.

I get mine online because you can get it from a head shop but sometimes you'll get ripped off. Online is the best. Go to Club21. That's where I get mine.

Re: Chuck (# 6) Expand Referenced Message

That's my goal, I found someone in a pain mgt forum that swore by it.. She pointed me in the direction of good vendors, and by doing extensive research I ordered several strains today. I've been on opiates for treating my pain, and I'm looking forward to hopefully getting away from the medical/pharmaceutical prison.

Re: Nora (# 5) Expand Referenced Message

Try a red hulu strain of Kratom regardless of which vendor you use. It's a great strain for pain relief and withdrawals. Note, I used it to come off of 250 mgs per day of hydrocodone. Didn't fix all of the withdrawal but it did take care of 90% of them and I did NOT feel terrible. I use a very small amount of Kratom now and then for pain but no more pills. Stuff is/was a godsend.

Google Kratom, and you'll find many many dealers, be cautious though. Lots of people jumping on the bandwagon and will sell anybody anything. Go through registered dealers... Good luck!
