I am looking for a compassionate doctor in the Richmond VA area who will prescribe pain medication.

To Blair, I am in Texas remember but I am sure they do. The other clinic (Hope) is cash only. Virginia is awful my insurer literally flew me in and tried to get me to a doctor who always throws over cases for them trust me you do not want this guy. He puts you on detox medications and as a specialist in pain and a health care professional once you take that route legitimate pain specialists won't help you again. If I were living back home (round Richmond) I'd make the trip if I had the compassionate physician care and understanding that legitimate pain clients need. Ultimately you become tolerant and will require higher doses (physicians know this) also the FDA allows generics to have up to 50% less opioid so with this new 120 mg. morphine equivalent rule for example I am on Duragesic a 100 mcg/hour brand has over 16 mg. Fentanyl but a Watson only has 10 for example that is a huge amount in fact a 75 mcg/hour brand has more then the 100 mcg/hour generic. I post more on the Texas and Louisiana posts for now but keep me posted on your outcome ok <3

Kasey, the physician I suggested (he is a detoxer but insurers use him to throw over comp case who are legitimate or not even painers) is Spector he is in Chesterfield County. He is cash only for regular people but lets insurers bill him. He sends out his u/a's for close evaluations. He does the type detox medications you seek. I would NOT suggest a regular pain client go to him.

Blair, I am heading to Houston (TX) tomorrow in hope that the physician I interview will be suitable again I am very complex and am down to limited medication, but had to wait for VWCC to opine and I won. I have information for you I'll cut and paste below for this clinic.

Blair, I just submitted a post with all the information, they are clearing it first. The two physicians have really great patient ratings; one actually went to Boston University. One is an anesthesiologist the other a neurologist; one is 55 and one is 65. Neither turns up having been disciplined. I saw some adverse blog the other day by an opioidphobic family member complaining they gave her mother too much medication. You know some people do not understand what suicidal pain is and how many die from this. I wish for them an hour of RSD systemic (one of my 400 plus disorders) or a kidney stone to get a taste rather then cause more harm for those in need.

Hello, I need help in finding a Pain Management doctor in the Richmond VA area. I currently am attending a Spine Clinic who will be starting spinal inj's on 9/8/15.. I just had that for my hip last week. It helped for 3 days and now it is back to same thing as before.. I have spinal stenosis, disorder of sacrum, displacement of lumbar inteverbral disk without myelopathy, lumbosacral radiculitis, Hip Bursitis and 2 herniated disks…. I take 1 10 mg. Oxycodone and 1 1/2 Baclofen per day… I am in constant pain and need to find a different pain management doctor.. Thanks

Balint Clinic, Weyers Cave the only place in Virginia there is a good doctor he may or may not take cash but he does take various insurance. I have posted his information on another message here.

Dear Anonomous, I live in Wisconsin and I am under the care of a pain management doctor, who prescribes me oxycodone for chronic back and neck pain caused from an accident on the freeway going 70 mph where a semi truck smashed my car. They had to cut me out of the car and I was taken to the hospital via flight for life. I'm telling you this because I don't abuse drugs. I am moving to Mechanicsville temporarily to help my husband sell his mothers house. I have been on oxycodone for 5 years, so I know I am addicted, but I never take more than prescribed. Please share with me the doctors name who can help me. The doctor will be able to get my records from my doctor here in Wisconsin. I hope you can help me because I don't know what I'm going to do when I get to Virginia. {edited for privacy}

You are not an ADDICT, if you tell anyone that you might as well sign into TREATMENT lady.

You are tolerant if you're a legitimate pain client. Virginia is tight totally shut down.

But Balint Clinic down in Weyers Cave will help you. There were two neurologists there, one is retired.

Please send me the name of a doctor that is willing to prescribe pain medication. I have just moved from Hawaii and no doctors will prescribe me my demerol or dilaudid. Nor will they prescribe sleep meds

I need a good pain management Dr my PCP has been prescribing me a small amount of tramadol and norco for my recently diagnosed fibromyalgia but with the new regulations is afraid to increase it and says I need a pain management Dr any good Dr suggestions....I am on medicaid and live in the Richmond area thanks for any input
