I took 900mg of flexeril and I need to know what side effects this drug has on a male genital area? The doctors said I was not suppose to make it through this overdose, but I did. But now my penis is not the same in length nor girth. I need more information on side effects and possible conditions this type of overdose might cause in this area. ## Well, that was a crazy thing to do! I am an RN, and you should be glad it didn't kill you. I would ask your dr about your issues with penis; I don't know of any such side effects from my other OD pts that I have had. i have chronic back pain however try not to take medication unless i have to. i have left over flexeril 5mg from a prescription written in dec. 2009 and expires 2010. is it safe to take for muscles spasms or should i toss it. i like to keep some in my cabinet because the few times my back gets really bad i am unable to get out of bed. ## Flexeril contains the active ingredient Cyclobenzaprine, which is a muscle relaxant and you should contact your doctor for a new prescription, because it does lose efficacy past the expiration date, so it may not work as well as it did, when it was new. Has anyone else had a slightly tingling tongue from taking Fexeril? I just cut my 10mg in half for my first dose. ## Can you be more specific as to what you mean by tingling? I took a urine test and failed for benzo. I've only been taking flexeril... Can that cause a dirty result for benzo? ## The Cyclobenzaprine in Flexeril isn't known to cause false positives for Benzodiazepines, but it has been known to cause them for Tricyclic antidepressants. littie white pill with dan on1 side and 5656on the other ## i believe the number is 5658. if it is, this is a generic form of flexeril (a muscle relaxant) made be watson pharmaceuticals. you can check out their product pictures under generics (i believe on page 5). ## Ann is correct, as far as I know, their distributor Major Pharmaceuticals lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, and dry mouth. I am a 48 year old woman with fibromyalgia and psoriatic arthritis. At bedtime I take Zanaflex 4 MG, Tramadol 50 MG and several other meds that don’t concern me as they’re not things that would affect my heart or breathing. When I took my meds tonight I noticed that I forgot to take my noon meds so I took those as well, forgetting that I had put a 10 MG Flexeril in with them because I was having bad muscle spasms this morning. I know I shouldn’t have taken all of this together. I called poison control and he didn’t seem concerned. Flexeril absolutely does show up on a drug screen as an anti-deppressent. Anyone who says otherwise should not be commenting on something that they know nothing about ## Why would flexeril show up as an anti-depressant? Methocarbamol is a central muscle relaxant used to treat skeletal muscle spasms. Under the trade name Robaxin, it is marketed by Actient Pharmaceuticals in the United States and Pfizer in Canada.

which is a more potent drug, soma 350 or flexeril ## The Soma is much more potent and effective as a muscle relaxant. The Flexeril tends to be very mild and only helps with slight muscle spasms. I had been taking Soma 350 for years because I have six crushed vertebra and recently my doctor changed to Parafon Forte 500. So far it's not as effective as the Soma was so I'm asking anyone if Flexeril would be better choice than the Parafon Forte. I've been taking the muscle relaxers flexeril 10mg 2x a day and or methocarbamol 750mg 3-4x a day. Neither of them work. What is the strongest relaxer I can ask my dr for. I just took 15 pills of Cyclobenzaprine of 10mg for pain. It's a yellow pill with the letter V on one side and 2632 on the other side. And im also taking bupropion 2x a day. I think I may have strained something. Have numbness and pain in hip joint. Have on hand Flexeril, Voltaren, Voltaren gel, Robaxin Prednisone and Lorcet. Have used heating pad and tens unit with gel. No relief. Trying not to have to go to doctor. Will any of these meds be effective alone or in combination? Never had the numbness before---skin hurts to touch. ## Seeing a doctor would be your best option, to be honest. Given the numbness, there is a risk of your having some nerve damage starting, according to NIH reports, and delaying proper treatment might only make it worse. Do you take any medications regularly? Why do you have a TENS unit?

I am going to be tested, but am not sure which test I will be required to take. can u tell me what the test will show if I take flexril, tramadol, prednisone, and nyquil ## As far as I know, prednisone shouldn't show up at all, and neither should the other things but each of the other is a possibility. Tramadol isn't necessarily an opiate but it works with the opiate receptors and can cause a false positive. Flexeril is a skeletal muscle relaxant and also isn't tested for on any ua as far as I've ever heard, but it has been known to cause false positives for benzodiazepines (Xanax, Valium, Ativan, etc.). And also NyQuil contains alcohol I believe and if your test includes alcohol as a panel it can show up depending on how far apart your last use was from your test and ot...

I took 2 10mg flexerils because I was in pain. They are non narcotic muscle relaxers.
