I Need Help Finding A Suboxone Doctor In East Tennessee

I started seeing a new suboxone doctor this past month. I have Medicaid so the doctor said they would submit my prior auth for my meds to be covered and they kept saying they did but they never did. So I ended up paying all together this past month 800$ for my meds and such. Then finally somebody in my drs office submits the prior auth. So I go back for month appt and explain to them that I had to pay money for my meds that I otherwise wouldn't of had to if they would have submitted the tenncare like they were supposed to, and I explained to them since I had to pay so much that I couldn't afford my appointment for another few days when I get paid, I asked them if they could please just give me a couple days supply and I'll come back and pay for my visit, and I told them I couldn't go without the medicine. They said no and refused to see me until I have money. I cannot go without this suboxone medicine and I shouldn't have to under a doctors care like this! I can't believe people can be so heartless. I have two children I take care of by myself and I'm finding it hard to even move, but I have to take care of them! I've called around in my area so much and nobody will help me. I don't understand it and don't know what to do. I don't understand why doctors have to be like this, it's all about that 300$ a month and if you don't have that then you shall suffer right? It will be at least 6 days by the time I get my paycheck and can see my doctor. I even asked if I could pay for a week and they no. The withdraws are unbearable and it feels like my guts are being ripped out. I was a heavy opiate patient for years. I don't know what to do so someone please help all you can. I know I can't visit an ER done tried that and they said they need a d.e.a license to write it. I know there's other things can give to ease the pain but before my doctors office hung up they said if I used anything other than Tylenol before I came back I was kicked out. Yes this is all a true story, as heartless as it sounds. I don't want drugs I just want to stay clean and not have to suffer and shouldn't have to after paying 800$ for my treatment (appointment few included). I live in East Tennessee and I feel like I've called every doctor on the list and no luck. We don't even have free methadone clinics here. Everything cost $$$$$ and lots of money. I don't understand why people won't work with people. I got clean so I wouldn't be at the mercy of a dooe dealer , that's one reason I got clean, and here I am at the mercy of my legal dope dealer doctor! Please give some advice that I can actually use, thank you.

Hi, let me know if you still are subscribed to this forum...this is absolutely terrible and I've dealt with a situation similar to it but have found a decent physician. Hope all worked out for you:)

Go to your methadone clinic in Knoxville or Chattanooga untill you can get into another Dr. That will turn your stuff in right. I got the same letter that they will pay for it for 2 years. The methadone clinics are expensive but better then being sick.

I know of a new clinic that just opened in Tazewell. Not sure how far that is from you, but I go to their clinic in Winchester, KY. They are great about getting PAs, and ensuring that you get the medication as cheap as possible. Really good staff for sure. Here is the number: 423-419-5049, Beall Recovery Center
