Mylan 2.5mg Lorazepam? Real Or Fake?
(Newest replies first)

Updated

It’s a long story but traveling and needed medication for my anxiety. Have been off Lorazepam for a while but ended up in a situation where I needed to go local for some medication. Ended up with Mylan 2.5mg tabs. They came in a blister pack and seem labeled correctly. Also came in the original Mylan box. All seems okay but being from the US I’m accustomed to seeing the imprint. These have none. Only a score down the middle and white. Needless to say, I’m holding off on taking them. Not looking for a “fix”, looking for medication. First, I didn’t know and can’t find much documentation on Mylab creating a 2.5mg version. At least the website doesn’t mention it. The pack it came in lists the exp date to be in 2020 so it’s not old. The strength it way more than I need. Was told to break in into 4ths. Either way, want to hear that someone knows about this strength from Mylan and if I should be concerned. The pharmacy didn’t seem at all shady and I was prescribed by a doctor. Just want to make sure I’m not taking something that’ll cause harm. Again, key items: Valid looking blister pack Valid looking packaging Just no imprints

Italy. All of the documentation is in Italian. I did find one reference to 2.5mg but only in Luxembourg. If this is faked, then it is a very involved fake. The included document inside the packaging is branded and mentions this could be the 1 or 2,5mg strength. All looks very normal. Just can’t seem to find corroborating documentation online.

Since there are no markings, I cannot speak to whether or not they are real, however, foreign countries are not under the auspices of the FDA, so the marking requirement does not apply to them, some companies use it, and some don't.

According to Mylan's Global Website they don't make a 2.5mg Lorazepam. They only list 0.5, 1, and 2mgs in their product catalog.

What country are you in? This information might make it easier to find more information for you.
