Oxycodone Is Not In Stock Hernando County Florida

According to several pharmacists, with whom I speak, their IS a shortage of Oxycodone-as the DEA is going ape-s*** once again and ANYONE CAN STILL BUY THEM ON THE STREETS, but I, in Chronic pain for 12 years have to exhibit "drug seeking behaviour" in order to fill my LEGITIMATE rx! -I'm 55, walk w/a cane and am in BAD shape-WHY AM I BEING PUNISHED?
WHAT HAVE WE LET HAPPEN-HERE?

You aren't being punished.

Unfortunately, shortages are very common this time of year for most narcotic opiates due to mandatory manufacturing limits.

Each manufacturer is only allowed to make a certain amount of them each year and then they have to cease production until they receive their new allotment number in the new year.

This is done to help keep better track of the supply to try to prevent so much theft and diversion, but there are times like this that it backfires and legitimate patients can't get their prescriptions filled.

I am very sorry that you are suffering, no one should have to be in pain.

Have you considered talking to your doctor about finding an alternative medication that you can use in the meantime?

I agree 100%. I have Rheumatoid Arthritis to the point that I can't work, can't cloth myself and have a poor quality of life depending on my son to take care of me. The only relief I have from this very painful disease is pain meds which I AM DEPRIVED of. I have a doctor that only prescribes me 60 pills a month and I can never get the prescription filled for weeks at a time, causing a trip to the ER or suffer. I have worked for the government for 21 yrs and have private paid insurance, yet I cannot receive my pain meds. WHY IS THE GOVERNMENT MAKING US CITIZENS SUFFER?????

OK I am sorry that I used the wrong word.but 33yrs of sitting in a wheelchair since I was 20.I have had 8 operations on my spine and rods in it 4 surgeries on the back of my knees and ankles.Never did I ask for anything until I had my 1st child .I was 33 had a child at 35 I finally could not take the pain and asked my dr. For some pain med only for the simple reason I could not just lay down and try to get some relief. Who can when you are a single mom in a wheelchair with a 2 yr.old toddler. I am now in s.Florida in Palm Beach County. I had to get a new pain management dr.and reastablish.myself to this area .I got a script for oxy codon 30 only 35 tablets which is fine .but I cannot get it filled anywhere .I have never been on recreational drugs .no addict no methadone clinic .I think it's so very rude that I have to suffer due to the Dr.s who have written out scripts for those who never should have for their own selfish high .. it had now made people like myself with a real problem and pain to make it impossible to get a script filled of 35.pills .I am fed up and disgusted with all of it. Where do you go from here.
