I have been on Ozempic 1mg for a few months and have lost 25 lbs. I feel great but struggle with constipation from the drug. Does anyone else have this problem? ## Ohmygosh!! Yessss I love Ozempic for my type 2 diabetes. I have lost a good amount of weight. I have so many diabetes problems that Ozempic has helped with.. BUT I freaked out about the Constipation I took Mira lax and then ex lax. I calmed down about it and know I don’t eat junk like I have and I don’t eat as much. I take Metamucil daily and eat fiber drink tons of water. The Constipation is better but still an issue if I don’t drink enough water.. Anyone know who has stock of Ozempic? It's now so popular I’m unable to re-order from anywhere, as it's out of stock everywhere. ## If want get ozempic and can't get it, find a pharmacy that does compound. That's the only way you can get it now.

Has anyone been on Victoza (Liraglutide) for weight loss without success then switched to Ozempic? ## Unfortunately, since we are all different, not every medication works for everyone that tries it, and when that happens, you usually need to try a different medication. When will you be starting the Ozempic? The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including administration site reactions, abdominal pain, constipation, nausea, and anorexia. I took my first dose of Ozempic 0.25mgs and within an hour had really bad stomach cramps (which resulted in quite severe diarrhea and nausea). Is it normal to experience side effects that quickly or is it an unlucky coincidence? ## Yes, you can experience side effects having just taken one dose, it has been known to happen to many people. Along with the issues you experienced, the FDA also warns that other side effects may include tiredness, headache, dizziness, loss of appetite, and bloating. Ref: Ozempic Information How are you doing, now? Has there been any change? ## I am on my 2nd dose of 0.5mg and still have almost daily post meal diarrhea, bloating and stomach churning. It has done wonders for my blood sugar glucose was 99 last Thursday, but will the diarrhea ever go away? ## I h...

I am on my 2nd week of Ozempic (I started Sunday last week). I couldn’t tell if the needle went in so on the left side of my stomach I had 4 spots where I had poked. I finally did the injection on the right side and when I did I pushed down a bit because when I took the pen out I could see the indent of the pen and the needle bent a little. That night when I had a bath I noticed on the left side where I did 4 pokes I had red dots. So the needle was going in without pushing. It must have worked because my appetite was much less and I lost 10 pounds. This week when I did the injection I did it in my stomach the left side. I didn’t really push down this time because I didn’t want to bend the needle. I pressed the button and after it clicked back to zero I counted to 30 an...

I find there is a lot of medication still in the pen after the 4th dose. Do y’all continue to use the same pen until it’s much more empty? Seems like it would be a waste to not. ## The Ozempic information website says that you can store it up to 56 days, after first opening the pen, then you should dispose of it, even if there is some left. Ref: Ozempic Pen Information However, the number of doses per pen will depend on your individual dose. How much are you supposed to be using? Were you instructed to discard each pen after 4 uses? Usually, such pens are used until they expire, which would be 56 days once opened, or until they are empty. The FDA lists the typical Ozempic side effects as possibly including administration site reaction, hypoglycemia, headache, diarrhea, and n...

Hi. I started Ozempic 3 weeks ago. Recently I have become constipated but having diarrhea. (Yes that is possible) I have also had horrible indigestion and a lot of acid sitting in my stomach. I have absolutely no appetite. I am dehydrated. When I drink anything it makes me feel like I ate a 20oz steak and baked potato. And then I feel super nauseous. I have digestive issues as is. Could the Ozempic be causing this or is it due to my IBS or something with my digestive track? I have had the same thing happen before I was taking Ozempic but not with the total loss of appetite & total fullness feeling. ## I'm glad you wrote in about this as I too am on Ozempic, once week for diabetes. I'd been wondering why I suddenly had no appetite, had indigestion & Despite already being ...

I was prescribed Ozempic for weight loss. 12 hours after taking the first dose, the fatigue and brain fog I’ve struggled with for years was greatly improved. This leaves me wondering if I may have pre-diabetes or even the beginning of Type II. Can anyone advise if having such a positive response to Ozempic could be a sign of this condition? ## I am pre-diabetic. My doctor tried to prescribe me I was Ozempic but insurance wouldn't allow it. I am on Medicaid and as with most things they'd rather wait until there's a problem then be proactive. It sounds like you had good results and so I am encouraged and if I do become diabetic it will be a big help. It's so hard to lose weight with chronic pain. Take care of yourself. Sounds like you are! ## It is possible, but only...

My doctor suggested that I start ozempic to help lose stubborn weight that I had gained over a few months. I started with .25 on my first week and experienced nausea, threw up a couple of times and headache. It kind of made me nervous to continue but after the first couple of days, the side effects passed and I really just had no appetite. Week 2, .25 again and had small side effects. I did have to go to the bathroom if I ate more than a few bites of anything. Ate a few crackers with chicken salad throughout the day and it helped. Ginger ale was my friend too. Week 3 I was brave enough to go to .5 and didn’t really experience any bad side effects. My system was becoming tolerant. Week 4, .75 and weighed myself for the first time - lost 12 lbs! And two pant sizes!! Week 5 I decided...

I'm not sure if anyone else is having trouble paying for their Ozempic in the US. My health insurance decided to eliminate it from my coverage last month and my pharmacy in Flagstaff was quoting me $800+. Saw some chatter about filling my prescription from Canada and I decided to give it a try with insulin outlet. I thought I would have trouble but it saved a lot of money. If anyone is having the same problem, I hope this info helps. ## I am Type II diabetic & have Medicare part D through CIGNA. Cigna denied Ozempic. Novo (maker of Ozempic) has a patient assistance program called PAP & they approved it & the med gets shipped directly to my physicians office. Might look into that

Just started Ozempic for weight loss. In my 4th week and now taking 0.5mg... I don’t really feel any loss of appetite. Does it take a little longer for that to kick in? I have had no side effects which makes me wonder if it’s even working? Lol ## I took my first dose of Ozempic and feel nothing, no side effects at all. I am hungry and there is no reduction in appetite. Anyone else? I wanted to lose weight. ## I started with 1mg and the next day was nauseous and vomited after eating. I quickly learned that I cannot eat the same portions plus my appetite greatly diminished. After 4 months I lost 30 lbs and have minor side effects. Fatigue is my major side effect. If you are feeling nothing ask your Dr to up the dosage. I just saw my Dr and he felt like I've hit a plateau o...

I just started .5 Ozempic and I have no appetite. I also have no energy. Having a hard time focusing. Is this common at the start? ## This is from Medline Plus: "Semaglutide injection is in a class of medications called incretin mimetics. It works by helping the pancreas to release the right amount of insulin when blood sugar levels are high. Insulin helps move sugar from the blood into other body tissues where it is used for energy. Semaglutide injection also works by slowing the movement of food through the stomach and may decrease appetite and cause weight loss." The appetite loss seems like a typical thing but I would check with your doc about the fatigue. It could be your body adjusting, especially if you're not digesting food at a normal rate. ## I have been on Ozempic...

Does anyone else feel like your appetite comes back half way through the week on Ozempic .5? I’m wondering about trying .25 twice per week…! ## Have you discussed the issue with your doctor? It would be best to have their approval, before making any changes to your dosing regimen. Are you specifically using it for weight loss, or are you also diabetic? Ref: Ozempic Information The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including administration site reaction, dizziness, nausea, and heartburn. ## I started on Ozempic about 50 days ago and am down about 30 lbs. I split the dose into two shots on Tuesday and Friday. It comes to 36 clicks each on the pen. Appetite is well controlled. Tho only occasional side effect I have is not from the med itself but when I overeat in m...
