Phenazopyridine Kidney Infection
UpdatedI recently had a UTI and was given Bactrim for three days and felt better. It's been almost a week and I suddenly have the symptoms back long with lower back pain. Seeing that it is almost 7:30 pm on a Sunday, I will have to wait until tomorrow morning to call and go in and see the doctor. The doctor was pleased that I stopped taking Phenazopyridine two days before going in for the urine culture to detect the UTI. Will Phenazopyridine interfere with diagnostics for a kidney infection? I would love to be able to relieve some of my symptoms before morning, but I will not if it means they will not get the proper results for the diagnostics they need.
