Precipitated Withdrawal Help: Relasped

Updated

I stopped taking opiates in 2001...was on methadone until a year ago when I switched to subs... I've been on Subutex 2 months.... Well yesterday, for a reason i don't quite understand, I relapsed. I have been thru precipitated withdrawals and they TERRIFY ME.... MY QUESTION IS...HOW LONG UNTIL I CAN TAKE MY SUBUTEX AGAIN? I HAVE TO GO TO A MOTHER'S DAY TEA WITH MY SON TODAY (HE'S 5) AND I CAN'T RISK BEING IN PW/D.... PLLLEEEAAASE ANYONE?

Just as when you first started it, you need to be in full withdrawal, before taking your Subutex, again.

The FDA classifies this medication as an opiate that is most commonly used to treat drug addiction, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.

How are you doing? Has there been any change?

I hope you had a great mother's day!

I have remained clean... thank god... and did take my subutex just hours after using with no issue... I have since told on myself to my doctor and asked to be put immediately back on Suboxone. I NEVER imagined that I would ever use again... very scary... we are never immune... luckily my 5yr old didn't have to learn the hard way by me either going into full blown active addiction, dying, or losing him as a consequence....

I have been taking opiates for 4 months. I have a really bad habit. I took methadone for the past 2 days. The last time I dosed was 7:30 this morning and here it is 3:40 and I already feel incredibly anxious. Wtf do I do? I have subs but have been in precipitated withdrawal and it's the worst. Please help.

I took opiates today while I was on 8 mg methadone. Will I be sick? I've been tapering off for a few months.
