Side Effects Of Bp Medicine

Hi, i was takeing Atanol tab for my B.P for a long time and now changed to Avapro tab,Can you pls tell me is atanol is haveing a side effets as will effect your sex life like haveing a erection problem? is avapro is ok or its also have the same problem? pls mail me the reply back.thanks.

Avapro contains the active ingredient Irbesartan, which is an ARB, they are generally known to cause less side effects than many other medications for high blood pressure, but the possibility is still here.

The only thing you can really do is try it and see if it causes you the same problems, or not.

Avapro is a wonderful BP medication. No side effects at all and I've been taking it for a long time (150 mg 1x day). I am female and so cannot speak to your specific concern, but I do know that not all BP medicines have your side effect. Avapro is probably a good one to try; I've not read about anyone having that side effect with Avapro. My husband is on a BP med as a preventive for kidney problems since he is diabetic; he doesn't really have high BP. But the first med they tried on him changed his personality and made him very irritable and so moody I demanded they give him something else. He's on something different now with no issues.
