Temazepam Refill

Ok, this is messed up. I take 30mg of Temazepam at night. I live in Mississippi, but when I had the prescription filled I was in Tennessee. Therefore, my 5 refills are in Tennessee, and the pharmacist down here in Mississippi said they can't transfer controlled substances. They can transfer the Prozac, but not the Temazepam.

I have one prescription of 15mg Temazepam here in Mississippi from months ago because my dosage was increased. If I get that filled and a few days or a week later, go back to Tennessee and get my other prescription for the 30mg Temazepams will I get in trouble? This is bull feces, because Walmart should be able to transfer prescriptions to adjacent states for people who travel some. Ridiculous.

This is the standard directive from the FDA and DEA. Controlled substances always require a new prescription and cannot be transferred from one pharmacy to another, so this is not just unique to Wal-Mart.

And yes, if you fill one and then the other, you will face repercussions, which may include fines and jail time.

This medication carries the risk of being habit forming and could cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache and irritability.

Well, I know Walgreens will transfer the prescription from MS to TN and back again. Because on those 15mg I had transferred to a 24 hour pharmacy in TN, and I never got them. Then they transferred the prescription back to MS, so I was able to get the 15mgs here in MS. I took the 30mgs to Walmart because of the price. Anyway, my current prescriptions say I take 30mgs, so in two weeks I can get the other one filled then or talk to my doctor about Walmart not transferring the prescriptions down here to MS and see what she can do about it. Perhaps, she can cancel the 5 in TN and rewrite them for me.

If not Mylan it won't work for sleep. Mylan has stopped making temepazam since December 2018. Period.
