Mr. Whiney, who should be paying for your medication so you can sit around all day b****en and moaning about addicts when you come off as one yourself. Work in pain like the rest of us but your not taking tax money from my check.

You said you had been on Percocet?? That IS Oxycodone. It also has Tylenol in it, which makes it hard to abuse. Im NOT saying that you're doing this, but because of tremendous abuse in Florida, and around the country, and Robberies of Pharmacies with some Pharmacist and Bystanders being killed.....FILLING an RX for Oxycodone became nearly impossible. I was taking 30 mg, 5 tabs daily, and most Pharmacies stopped carrying them.....Or they only had limited supply and couldnt fill mine. I finally went thru Mailorder thru my Wellcare RX Plan. I dont understand WHY you are letting yourself gain all that weight back when you know it will most certainly put an end to ALL your walking. You know you R heading right back to where you were before. Its gotta be easier to Stop the gaining NOW, than to become bedridden at ?600 again and try to do it all over again?? Dont be upset with me. I say this only because I care & I can understand what Physical Pain can do to a persons mental outlook. I have daily pain and my pain meds are way too low. Might as be taking nothing. You need to go to a PAIN MEDICINE DR. at a Pain Clinic. Look at his website. Try to get an idea 1st, if he does treat people with Narcotics. Talk to the Receptionist. Dont appear to be a Drug Seeker, but ask if the Doctor does use pain medicines in his Therapies, because you are currently on some now. I hope I've helped. Keep on Walking, please. I wish you the Best of Health!!

David and all others. You can see this party has mental issues and is using multiple names to attack you. First of all all pain patients on opioids become physically tolerant that does not make you an addict but you will if you go off medications cold become physically ill just as an addict does due to physical tolerance. A physician or a nurse (which I am) cannot indiscriminately call you an addict it is medical malpractice. I have NEVER absolutely ever heard of a proper pain physician medicating a morbidly obese person with Oxycodone in that amount to lose weight. 90% of physicians will not prescribe to obese for in many cases they are causing further pain and damage to joints and discs, etc. They expect to see a weight loss program--I guarantee in Florida who has gone through a fair shut down on multiple occasions of pill mills you will not find a doctor to treat obesity with that excuse or using a poor child as the excuse for losing weight (so they don't lose their child). Something is seriously wrong with this picture and the fact that party is using all kinds of names to post here. I suggest everyone report any posts that are abusive people here are seeking help in general not abuse.

Cortisone shots??? Really? Not approved by the FDA, the destroy bone and ligaments and ruined 7 levels of my lumbar spine. People, do not take these shots. I am no addict. I suffer from chronic pain or pain that will be forever. There should be a way to go after the cortisone injectors.

to Florida MEDICAL MALPRACTICE, I am so sorry you had to go through this. idk if you know but fl got busted for it's pill mills and yes its a b84tch trying to get pain meds here especially on midicaid, yes there is a BIG difference in medicaid and medicare, there is only one PM in Tampa that takes medicare, if you dont have that then the cash amount is 300 first visit 175. there after but at least your meds would be paid for my your medicaid another crazy thing is once the doc writes my scrip it takes a few trips to find a pharmacy to even fill the damn things. I justwant you to know I am so sorry you had to go through this. if youre going to GA and spending $ maybe you can try Tampa Genesis Medical Clinic, if it's closer and cheaper you do have to have current mri's and i totally understand the debilitation of not being able to function without meds..i hope things are better for you now God Bless and stay strong

Just want to help any other Floridians. In tampa there are 3 clinincs i have basic knowledge about. The first is Dr. Mohammed on MLK in Tampa Fl, does not take medicare idk @ other insurances i do know as of 10/2014 300$ was the cash price for first visit, The second i learned about today Dr. Chardhari (i can never get his name right sorry) but he come up when you put univerist Pm in your browser Tampa FL 33613 their website states insurances they take, third Genesis ive been there they take medicare (not medicaid) and many other insurances, They required of me a current FL MRI (they wouldn't accept my CO MRI) I had to submit a u/a sample and it had to match with what i said i was taking. then the dr rx'd what i was taking from the state I moved from, however my meds were cut by 50% because of the laws here in FL.. BTW guess i'm thankful.... but it took me time to establish with a pharmacy.

If you have records Dr korivi may prescribe for u until you can get into a pm clinic and you may have to pay cash. If the meds help you work then it would b worth paying for the first visit is almost 300$ but then 175. This Is genesis medical clinic in Tampa. Of coarse u need MRI scans etc less than 2 years old. I totally understand not being the best parent u can be due to pain . I get very little $ on disability but if I had to pay 175. Every month I would make a way to do so it would be worth it

For years, I used to go to "TAMPA PAIN CLINIC". Downstairs you could fill your pain meds at Kay's Pharmacy. I took Methadone and Oxycodone back then. The Doctor WAS Dr.VandeCar, who has since retired...but there is a new Doc there. Hopefully, he is a good one. You needs lots of records and they will KNOW if you are just an Addict looking for a High. They have a strict Contract you must follow. If you have legit pain and can prove it...then they can help you.

Find a family physician to refer you to a pain clinic. Florida is notoriously busy in that area, as the elderly move to Florida for retirement. And obviously the elderly have issues with their health. You can call and make an appointment at the pain management clinic but it’ll be quicker to get in with a referral from your doctor. I would continue to push the issue call them every day bother the hell out of them until you get an appointment. I’m in North Carolina transplanted from Florida and did not need pain meds in Florida. My family physician prescribed them to me in North Carolina he recently passed away that is when we all had to go to the pain management clinic. I have found one that is awesome 30 minutes from home, my doctor will sit down and talk with you, talk about what issues you’re having suggest what she would like to give you and if you don’t like the medication that she wants to give you she is willing to listen to suggestions. They give you drug panels every two months when you go back & they have now started to swab your mouth instead of a U/A. But with the FDA stepping in and putting a ban on how much medication is being made and being able to be prescribed, it is very frustrating for the elderly who don’t know who to go to and don’t have anybody to give them advice. I actually stumbled across this page last night and think it’s really good for people to give their input to help others. So as I said start with your family doctor ask for a referral to pain management keep calling all your pain management clinics because there are a lot of them get on the list and just do the best you can until you can get on the list. Research homeopathic remedies because there are a lot of them that you don’t need prescriptions for. Hope this is finding you.

I have had both hips replaced at 48 and have herniated discs in lower back from limping and overcompensation. First in 2013 and most recent in late March 2018. In CT, where I had my first full hip done my doctor’s approach was to stay ahead of the pain and I was able to function very well. I waited so long to have it done (eight years since I was diagnosed) I had severe atrophy, spasms and tendon damage that I had to remain on somewhat heavy doses to suppress pain in order to perform my job. I moved down to Florida in 2016 thinking that with my records from the three years prior of compliant medication regime that I would remain on the medications and dosage I was on. Well this is not the case and since 2016 I have been struggling with a pain management doctor that has cut me back by more than half. Now I have had my second replacement and I am in some pretty constant pain and work is very difficult. I really need to find a doctor that is not afraid to prescribe what works for the patient. I really need to be back to how I was, but I don’t know where to turn in Florida.

Re: David (# 27) Expand Referenced Message

I've been in pain management for 23 years post MVA where I was in a coma followed by being paralyzed on the left side of both upper and lower body. My last P.M. physician of 6 years has suddenly retired and I'm in an essentially bed-bound state as I haven't been able to replace him as of this date. If you could please forward me the name or names of the Dr's you speak of in the Central Florida East Coast area I would greatly appreciate it. I have very detailed records going back many years and my records are completely clean and clear of issues and I've never been to an office that was even loosely considered a PILL MILL. I thank you in advance for your time and consideration. Thank you.

Sorry to hear about your situation but the government here in Florida have no sympathy for pain patients, between the Government and PAM BONDIE IN Tallahassee they think that they should dictate to we the people of Florida what the Doctor’s and the pharmacies are able and to whom they will fill any pain meds. I for one don’t believe this is in people’s of Florida best interest. So good luck with your predicament. A word to the pain patients, please resist the urge to buy anything from people trying to sell so called legitimate pain meds on the street, this is coming from a family that has lost a loved one to the Fentanyl. They cut their heroin with this stuff and the laws and the government would blame the so called opioid epidemic on pain meds that were either stolen from friends and/or family, rather than worrying about the most potent drug made and smuggled into the good old U S of A from South America or crack down on the poison that China seems to have no problems shipping cargo ships of unregulated crap that is and has made many of our kids, family, and even our pets with cancer containing chemicals.

I was 600lbs in a wheelchair until I was given oxycodone. I came to Florida with my baby. I thought I would play with him and we would run together & ride bikes together. That was 2 years ago when I was 120lbs. Now I am 400lbs. I never will run with my child and all my restructure surgery is ruined. I would KILL MYSELF if I did not have a child to worry about. I am a MONSTER again and Florida doctors dont give a damn. I have no life, nothing & I would buy from the street at this point but I can't afford to. I can't sit for 30 minutes to play with my child. I can't stand for more than 5. This is not life. I am educated and I can't do anything.
