Please help me with pain doctor in Massachusetts i just got taken off ocycodone 30 mg and need a doc that writes and helps people in pain

Hello, Marc! How are you? I'm very sorry about the problem that you're having.

Why were you taken off of it?

Do you currently have a PCP that you see regularly that might be able to refer you to someone? If so, that might be the quickest and easiest way to find the help you need.

The FDA lists this medication as being a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.

Can anyone recommend a good doctor in that area?

Hi Marc: I know this is very delayed, as I see you posted in January. Their is a doctor in Lowell, Eric Romanowsky, MD. He is a PCP, certified in pain management. Extremely compassionate and very knowledgeable. I hope you have found help since January, and you didn't say where in MA you were, but just in case, here is one Dr in MA that can help you. Good luck and I hope you find relief. PS: You have to follow very strict guidelines or he will cut you off immediately.

I have a bad back due to a car accidentwhich got worse over the years and MRIs to prove this. Having many procedures helped at the time so my pain meds got lowered to Oxycodone 15 mg 5x a day. This dosage wasn't working and my pain management doctor wouldn't increase them. He explained that I actually have opiod induced hyper algesia which means the opiods actually increase the pain as the pain receptors never close. I didn't believe him but tried subtext (buprenorphine without the naloxone which is narcan) 8 mg 3x a day for one week and he was right. Today I just started Zubsolv 5.7/1.4 which he said was stronger 3x a day but preferably 2x a day. He knows that I am not addicted to pain meds. My back pain was getting worse and worse. Opiods for chronic pain will not work as everyone gets a physical dependency on them and you will always need more and more. Then your pain will increase and it becomes a vicious cycle. So, yes suboxone and zubsolv are used for chronic pain. Trust me if it worked for me and I have a high tolerance it will work for you. I have herniated discs, scoliosis now, degenerative disc disease, stenosis, nerve damage and radiculopathy. I actually was doing more things than I have in years. I can't comment yet on the zubsolv but if you want your life back trust me and instead of asking your pain specialist for more opiods ask about suboxone. I never had cravings because when you truly have pain opiods work like an aspirin to a regular person. I could sleep better and wake up without excruciating lower back pain which felt like I had cancer.

tapering down. I've been on 60mg for 2 weeks anyways I have 40mg left until my refill tomorrow. I feel like crap. What the best way to take the 40 I have left till tomorrow? All at once before bed or 1-2 through the day? Please help
