I have Lupus and rhuematoid arthritis and suffer from chronic fatigue and pain. I am going to my pain management doctor tomorrow morning and I want to see if he will perscribe me something for fatigue,what do you recommend? I take Adderall but that's for my ADHD and I have been on it for 30 year's and it does nothing for fatigue. Should I ask for generic provigil? And can he perscribe this medicine? Thank you so much.

It isn't likely that your doctor will prescribe both, most likely it will be one or the other, the Adderall, or Provigil, since they are both in the same medication class.

The FDA warns that these medications carry the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, weight loss, and irritability.

Are you on any other medications? What did he prescribe?
