Zolpidem Tartare 12.5

Updated

Taking Lupin zolpidem ER round blue..works great. Pharmacy now has Sandoz zolpidem ER round pink. Both 12.5. Totally ineffective. Have gone back and forth before due to what pharmacy gets. The Sandoz is useless. Anyone else noticed this?

Hello, Jay! How are you? I'm sorry about the problem that you've had.

Alternatively, I took the Sandoz brand and it worked great for me and I didn't do well with the Lupin. It can just vary from person to person. We are all different.

The only real way to avoid this is by asking your doctor if they can prescribe it as 'brand medically necessary', or whatever the equivalent is in your state.

According to the FDA, this medication may cause side effects that could include nausea, dizziness, hallucinations, funny taste in mouth, sleep actions and next day hangover-like effects.

Is there anything else I can help with?

Seems Like Lupin and Sandoz do not work very well for me. Also Actavis and Anchen. The only ER that work for me are Winthrop. I may try PAR 12.5 at some point. The Winthrop are getting harder to come by.

Sandoz 10mg IR is the best you can get right now for instant release. I wish Par would of continued making the Qualitest line of Zolpidem.

I have had a hard time finding zolpidem ER by Lupin. Round blue pill 12.5 mg. The generic at my new pharmacy does not carry it and the pink generic substitute does not work. I have not had more than 3 hrs/day of sleep in 6 weeks. Can I get this by mail? Please don't tell me they don't make it anymore.

I agree everyone is different. LUPIN manufacture generic works great for me. Recently pharmacy switched to Sun and I had to stop taking after 10 days due to what felt like tiny fireworks popping on my head. BP raised. I had a TBI (traumatic brain injury) many years ago and now insomnia my brain won’t shut down. For three years drs tried many different RXs before they found what worked. I have tried almost every OTC (over the counter) products from herbs to vitamins. I don’t drink coffee or any thing with caffeine. Currently I sleep anything from an hour at most here and there because I am exhausted. No sleep schedule. I even took clock out of bedroom. My health is deteriorating due to lack of sleep.

Re: TBI Injury (# 6) Expand Referenced Message

I have had the same issues. Been on extended release for 15 years. Lupin or Winthrop work great for me. Pharmacy changed to Sun and they’re utter trash. I have a new doc and he’s great, but wants to take me off the 12.5 because of FDA. I’ve never had any issues in 15 years. I’m still on the Sun 12.5 and now taking trazadone as well and having sleep studies. Trying to convince my doctor that it’s the generic brand I’ve been receiving, not a tolerance issue and not sleep apnea. If it’s not broken, don’t fix it.
