Adderall Backorder (Page 44)

I take generic Adderall 20 mg for narcolepsy and there is not one local pharmacy that has it in stock. I have never had this problem before. The pharmacies are saying that it's on backorder from the manufacturer. Is anyone else having problems getting their scripts filled?

Walgreen's probably doesn't care. They don't have to care. They are part of large corporate America. If you don't like their store or their company, so go to the next one is basically their theory. You need them more than they need you. Sad but true.

Here's my experience and then I passed on the incident(s) with a friend. We live in a small town in MI where basically everyone uses the town pharmacy (independently owned.) Sure, there are Walgreen's, Walmart's, other pharmacies, but you have to drive a bit (like under 15 is all,) to get to them. I originally thought that I was getting such a great deal because Walgreen's is a 'preferred pharmacy." For some meds, that's true. I learned very quickly there are too many cooks on the kitchen (in general) at the pharmacy at Walgreen's. So, I essentially kicked them to the curb, saved gas, and hit the small, local, one here. They know I am getting it - meaning I am going to get it monthly, so it's up and waiting when I get there. Even if it's two days early. AND, it's Teva! That's the only brand my body likes. My advice (strongly) is to check out the little guys, you may be surprised....

Yes.. same.. they said it’s an issue with the manufacturer and it’s a shortage at all pharmacies.

Has anyone in South Florida been able to fill a script? My script is electronic, so i cant just take it nd fill at another pharmacy.. This is getting quite concerning.... From what i was told by the pharmacist, this is not a "Walgreens" problem. Its a shortage at all pharmacies... :(

Yes. The shortage is a nightmare for sure. No one seems to be able to tell me wtf id the reason for all this. LANNETT Pharmaceuticals is the manufacturer of the drug and seems like they have only been in Adderall business for a year.

Generic Depot in Pembroke Pines has plenty, just filled mine today. I had to call around 15 different pharmacies before calling Steve at Generic Depot. However, he won't or can't fill any Narcotic Scripts by themselves, you have to have another non-narcotic prescription or he will not fill it - no exemptions. I had to have my Doctor call in Ibuprofen in order to have my Adderall filled.

Try Generic Depot in Pembroke Pines. The only thing is that he can't fill it unless you also have another non-narcotic prescription. No Scheduled Meds by themselves there.

Same problem in Maineville and Cincinnati Ohio. I get generic adderall xr 30mg. Shocking this happens with a schedule II prescription and people need to to function.

I just got Teva 30mg IR filled at Walgreens. I am SHOCKED to say that this typically reliable brand, usually one of the good generics…. is trash. It’s now 6 pm and it still hasn’t kicked in. I guess that means it never will… I took it twelve hours ago. Same for yesterday when I filled it. And no, I didn’t eat or drink anything acidic with it, I’m hydrated, don’t take any other meds, etc.

I still have a Lannett pill left, so yesterday I took 1/4 around noon just to see if it was a difference in generics. Sure enough, thirty minutes later, I can focus and concentrate. UGH.

I hate when this happens. Lannett was working fine for me. I wish they didn’t switch. Now, I have to stick with this for a month and there’s nothing I can do about it??? Let’s hope I don’t get fired. This isn’t right and we’re the ones who suffer for it.

Walgreens dispenses Teva which I have confirmed by reaching out to them. I contacted Teva and they said they have plenty of stock and are shipping to Walgreens. I feel like it’s a bunch of BS.
