Adderall Manufactured By Teva Not Working (Page 58)

I have had two refills of Adderall 20 mg that was manufactured by Teva/barr (Teva) and it seems to have much less medication in each pill. Refills by another manufacturer work. This is ridiculous, and where do we report Teva and who can check each pill for amount for medication? I would gladly donate some of my worthless ones to the FDA?

I just got the Alvogen generic adderall, and I feel exactly the same as you are describing.

I have taken Teva for as long as I can remember and it works great. Now I cannot find it anywhere. I did not realize I was given Alvogen generic brand last month. The pills look just like Teva. After a week of struggling to stay awake and being unable to concentrate, I looked at the Rx bottle and realized the change. So, this is not a placebo effect. Does anyone know where in south FL region Teva is being sold? It is time for me to refill and I cannot spend another month like this, it is affecting my ability to work!

Sandoz CVS carries it. They may have more than 1 generic in stock so make specify Sandoz. My Dr writes Sandoz brand No Substitutions on my prescription.

Schedule I drugs are not given by prescription to patients. But there is research going on into the safety and effectiveness of some Schedule I drugs.

Some drugs like cocaine have been used in surgeries for many years as a local anesthetic.

A doctor has to have a relationship with a patient to prescribe a Schedule II drug like Adderall. That means the doctor has to see the patient face to face. Not every time a prescription is issued. But a doctor cannot only see a patient by telemedicine only and prescribe Adderall or other similar Schedule II stimulants

I have done so numerous times and nothing gets accomplished. I even reached out to Mark Cuban several months ago to try and get his help because he understands how generics are made cheap. I've taken Lannett's brand, TEVA and Aurobindo and they are suck!! They play with people's minds and well being. Would love to file a Class Action Lawsuit against these greedy pharmas!!

In reference to all the comments about Adderall, I apologize for not being on here. I've had Narcolepsy since 1993 and I've been taking Adderall 30mg (2 in the am, and 2 by Noon) for more than 18 yrs. I completed a report to the FDA Medwatch in Sept 2020 as my quality of life was declining due to the drug manufacturers changing something in the formula. The fatigue & brain fog caused many cataplexy falls resulting in concussions, depression. Three months after I opened that report, a woman from Medwatch called me and closed it, saying I still had one brand that was working (hardly) and I asked her, 'what if stops working'?

It has been a little more than a year that Adderall has worked. I am hardly living and I beat myself up for being lazy because I have ocd (perfectionist) and I'm so angry and sad. I know my physician didn't believe in me (he's only been my doc for 11mths), as I said I wanted him to support me in filing a complaint against the FDA. He suggested I not file and see a psych. Excuse me? I am 55yrs old, never abused a prescription or a drug in my life and you think I'm making this up? I gave him a piece of my mind intelligently, and told him I should file charges against him.

I am aware there are people out there that abuse. My neighbor is one of them. Adderall and methamphetamine are rampant here in PA. I am trying to get my s*** together to raise my voice to all that will listen. I will file another report to the FDA after I move February 28th. I know it's daunting as the paperwork is long, but I suggest everyone having this problem to do the same. I know for me, this has taken me from spending quality time with my grandchildren, as I promised my children unless I had my meds, I wouldn't engage. Even laughing and happiness causes my cataplexy and it's not pretty to see. I am in the last chapter of my life and no one has any right to take the quality from me. Someone here mentioned a Mark Cuban, who is this person? Anyhoo, I'll do my best to stay in touch. Never give up and stay safe. God bless

There's no such thing as brand Adderall except for the XR and Shire makes it. Shire is the original drug manufacturer of Adderall. I even tried contacting Shire to ask for resources who 'we' can go to for guidance. No response : (

I have been waiting for the narcolepsy community to join the conversation on this. I said, when we start hearing from narcolepsy patients, we'll know there really is something wrong with the medicine. Here we are, it's official.

Valisure is not authorized to dispense C2 drugs, but they ARE able to do testing on the tablets. We need to band together and get some of these tablets tested so we have a leg to stand on. If the FDA won't do it, we will have to stand up and do it ourselves. That's where we're at.

To Addy, are you able to contact your doctor from when your meds worked, so they can talk to your new doctor? Maybe that will convince them. We need the doctors on our side.

It's a scam that works ... We complain, and the doctors all think we're addicted to the stimulants and want more.... when the kids complain, the doctors think they're just acting up. Kind of brilliant, just super evil. If we want it to change, we need to send pills to a place like Valisure's lab.

Narcolepsy patients have been sharing the same issues for a while also. There are MANY groups discussing the placebo CNS meds that the FDA INTENTIONALLY ALLOWS 3rd world countries to supply to the US. Someone's gotta line their greedy ass pockets too. What better entity than bigPharma? People have been complaining for at least three to four years or more and nothing is happening for a reason. I don't know how we can find a resolution for our meds. I hate to say it but I become doubtful that we will.

Yes I've contacted all my other doctors and it's documented with them and the pharmacy as well. I went as far as researching if my metabolism or liver were the culprit. I believe the FDA only evaluates a small percentage of U.S. drugs. And as many have mentioned, we're talking billions in profits (and politics). On Sept. 24, 2013, I was present via webcast at the Patient-Focused Drug Development initiative with the FDA https:/­/­www.federalregister.gov/­documents/­2013/­07/­19/­2013-17327/­narcolepsy-public-meeting-on-patient-focused-drug-development, to obtain patients' perspectives on the impact of narcolepsy on daily life as well as the available therapies for narcolepsy. Ha, I want to know what the FDA would have to say of what's happening to patients now? Patients that have filed complaints that have been closed! I will be making contact with classaction.org over the weekend. (I'm in the process of packing to move Feb 27th, I have much on my plate ugh)

This past Friday I picked up generic Adderall from HEB by my house and it is manufactured (once again) by Lanett Pharmaceuticals. It's HORRIBLE! I take 3 x 20 mgs daily and after 3 I had no focus & ended up sleeping for 10 hours straight!!! It truly makes me sick how these pharma companies can get away with it. We all need to be heard and if it takes finding an attorney to help us do so I'm all in!! It certainly would not be the 1st Class Action suit TEVA and Aurobindo have faced!

The company is Valisure, and they are legit. They found the carcinogens in the Zantac and sunscreen that got recalled. It would probably be on the shelves still without their efforts.

I will post an update when I find out the process and cost. Last time I contacted a place called Eagle Labs, it was like $3K, and I abandoned the idea... so hopefully it's not that much!

I'm so happy to talk to people who are on my side and also think we should get the tablets tested by a lab! I've heard sooo much "the FDA tests medications, they wouldn't let pharmacies sell medications if they weren't right..." so it's great to have people who acknowledge what's happening!
