Amlodipine Expiration Date

Expiration date of 07/2013 for Amlodipine Besylate: Is it still reasonable to use now in 3/2017 or is its usefulness too degraded?

A medication expiration date is required by the FDA to ensure that any given medication retains its full efficacy level for that length of time, under average storage conditions.... to translate that, it means after being dispensed in a normal pharmacy bottle and being exposed to the elements that cause degradation, such as heat, light, and moisture. After that time period the medication may begin to lose efficacy.
