Clonazepam Help Me (Page 23) (Top voted first)

I have always used the same brand of clonazepam. However they changed what is in the medication. I've been gravely ill because my body can't take the change. Now I want to not take it any longer because it's making me ill. How can I detox slowly if I don't have a decent batch of clo that agrees with me? If anyone has any real information please let me know. I'm ill feeling every day if I take it it makes me ill and get withdrawal If I don't take it I get still getting withdrawal.

This drug is make by Roche; it is the Canadian name.

Roche makes Klonopin. it is the highest quality benzo I have ever taken.

Hi Dawn,

Are you still taking the Teva? I continue to get bad batches and was thinking of having to switch to Brand. I have started getting nausea with the last batch.
Never had any trouble with the old Teva.

Have you ever seen Roche 2mg Rivotril clonazepam without the word Roche with just the .2. On one side an the two lines on the other side? I've gotten batches of them with Roche .2. On one side an some with just the .2. R these legitimate?

Teva 832 tablet is the only brand of clonazepam my body can tolerate an it really helps my anxiety. Social anxiety disorder ??

have you tried padding with some valium?

I've had to combine ativan and Buspirone (BuSpar) before. the BuSpar seems to help with the gaps in the medication.

0.2 is not likely.

1 mg; 0.5 mg; 2 mg; 0.25 mg; 0.125 mg

I would think .025 or 0.125. These doses used to be available as sublingual.

the last surgeon I know used to provide 0.5 mg 2x a day.

using more than 2 doses is less accepted than before. however some people need the higher dose at 1.0 mg 2x a day PO.

In my experience there is no difference between 0.5/1.0 2x PO.
if anything the dose might have something to due to weight and the extend of personal trama.

surgeons like to be very thorough - psychiatrist are less so.

Hi JD, I really wish that I had an answer for you. Maybe, you can check with your psy. for a change in the dosage, or check with a trusted pharmacist. How are you doing with just the Adderall? Well definitely the Paxil isn't working for you, you need to let your psy. know. I keep praying for you to find a solution. Regarding why I take clonazepam for pain, is that after many months of physical therapy, chiropractors, inj's., etc. I couldn't find a good enough relief. I was being treated with barbiturates prescribe by my primary doctor and they worked well. Then I had a devastating lost in my life and had to see a psychiatrist. I explained to her about the pain I was in and she was the one who prescribed the clonazepam for the pain and Zoloft for depression. I had no idea what clonazepam was at that time I just knew and was amazed that after so much therapy etc. she finally found the right medicine for me. I have not had any pain since I been taking clonazepam. One thing I did discover is that not all the brands of clonazepam worked the same for me. I would only pick up my prescription from the stores that carried the Sandoz brand. I would call around to make sure they had it before filling my prescription. Until that horrible day that I had the major problem with the change in the Sandoz brand. And yes, I have read that clonazepam is used off label for nerve pain and as a mild muscle relaxer and it truly has worked for me for years. Right now I am on day two of evaluating the Qualitest brand. Thank you for the info on the 1mg from Sandoz. I really appreciated but would have a hard time getting anything from them anymore. Good morning Jacqueline, I'm sorry you didn't get a night sleep last night. Try to rest during the day. I'm just like you, I always cut pills in half. I'm glad you told me about gabapentin because I was thinking of asking my doctor for it. I didn't have a good day yesterday. After five I wasn't feeling well. I found xanax that my sister gave me over a year ago. They gave them to her after her operation. Helped just a bit. God Bless hope you have a good day.

Hi Sarah, I was reading the last post to Mike. Maybe you shouldn't give up completely on the Sandoz .5. Like I said I had about three bottles and I decided to try one last night and I didn't get the bad reaction. My psy doctor had told me earlier that sometimes we get a bad batch. I am being cautious with them because I don't want withdrawals that make you feel like your having a heart attack. I have a 9:00 appt with a rheumatologist tomorrow and I'll check in with you after that. God Bless an Be Safe

Hello JD,

After reading your posts it seems quite confusing to follow. I don't know how you've attached brand names to types of medications you are taking. By law they must be equal in strength and active ingredient. Rather than trying to second guess all of them how about taking them all exactly as prescribed by your MD? I find patients can attach themselves to effects and brands and there's just no relationship other than a placebo effect. That's a false feeling the mind makes up. So to keep things clear be sure to follow EXACTLY how they are prescribed and never look at the manufacturer. If you do that pretty soon none will work to your satisfaction. Let's also clarify some things. Klonazapam is also Clonazepam both are the same thing and are made to prevent seizures. They are given for anxiety because they have a much less "good feeling" or addictive profile, compared to others. It takes anxiety to normal. That's what it is reported to do so MD's are ordering that as off label. Paxil is an antidepressant. If you take paxil it is for depression although it may have a slight help for anxiety in some people but rarely (if at all) prescribed for anxiety alone. The person that takes adderal should lower the dose according to the exact amount that is prescribed and take it only in the morning. Adderall rarely is given alone for depression because it has a depressant phase when it wears off within 24 hours. It has a long half life and if you miss a dose in the morning do not take a makeup dose later in the day unless you plan to be awake all night. The main thing I'm reading here is that liberties are being taken regarding dosages and times the meds are prescribed. Any time you feel you need to change something always pass it through your MD otherwise they are not able to follow if you are up or down or sideways. There is a specific way each of these meds are made for and it takes years of study and experience to adjust dosages for positive effects. The last thing you want to be doing is checking on which brand or which pharmacy makes it stronger or "makes me sick" because that thinking sabotages what any good medication is able to provide. It's tough talk but so true. When you realize you are not licensed to manipulate anything about a medication and the psychiatrist is, the effects and side effects will normalize for you. Otherwise what is the point of taking any of them if you don't take as prescribed?

I'm completely confused about both of your problems jd and Sarah for the simple fact that you are using these drugs for the completely wrong reasons and wonder why they are counter reacting!! Clonazapam (klonipin) is used to treat anxiety, seizures and things of highly stressful nature and mood stability. Where your pain comes in with klonipin is beyond me except perhaps muscle relaxation ! Taking Adderall and wondering why you can't sleep? Hmm.... maybe because it is an amphetamine!!!?.... I uderstand bad brands and changes in compound but I'm very curious if you both are under a physicians care at all... if so stop seeing them immediately! There are many changes and bad batches of prescriptions just like illegal substances.. I would advise you actually consult a real physician and at such low doses I'm surprised there are any serious withdrawal symptoms at all. Klonipin for pain and Adderall for Insomnia! I'm sorry but this has to be a joke! And to you sir with stage 4, I am very sorry to hear what you are going through. The FDA is a joke and there are many of us out here with real afflictions, and all we can do is TRY to become comfortable. JD and Sarah, please find real doctors.

You have to ask your doctor to write "name brand" Klonopin. It was on the news that many generics, including clonazepam, is "drywall" and other crap. Someone else on this forum, went to the ER in a full episode. They tested his urine and there was NO benzo in his system! I think the corruption is them weaning us by feeding us garbage. My doctor changed me to .5mg KLONOPIN at bedtime. He did not even question what I said. You have to stick up for yourself now. Good luck.

I have been through all the anti depressants and can't tolerate the side effects. The Paxil use to work in controlling the anxiety in a low dose but did not help the depression. That is the main reason I take the adderall. Now the adderall is a mess just like all the other generics. The 30mg in XL form by Shire works but I have chronic insomnia and it stays in my body to long. I plan on reporting to the FDA again about the Teva adderall. When I open the bottle that came from Walmart there is a strong chemical smell coming from it plus the pills have became powdry. The bottle from Walgreen's don't have this smell. It just works one day and not the next. It's another bad day and I will be laying in bed again. I wish I could have just tried the Sandoz brand but can't get it in my town. However if their quality has gone down like the Klonopin it may not be any use.
