Cut Off From Hydrocodone Acetaminophen 5/325

I have Osteoarthritis, it causes me pain, usually in the evenings. My VA Dr. just cut me off period. I am at my wits end over this and might mention I suffer from PTSD. This is causing me a great deal of Anxiety, and I don't know what the Hxxx to do. If I don't take them I am up most of the night walking the floor. At times I have massaged my legs so vigorously, I have bruised myself. It is also causing my wife a great deal of stress. I wear compression sleeves as well on my feet, calves, knees, thighs and hands. I was on the Lowest dose. but it helped. I am Alcoholic, but have been sober for years. My wife feels that unless I can get my Hydros back, I will return to drinking, which I do not want to do. What are my options? I have tried every cream, gel and ointment I can find.

Re: Whisper (# 2) Expand Referenced Message

It's getting bad. My daughter was coming off of her pain meds for allegedly giving the nurse lip when in fact it was the nurse who was being a bully and testing her like a junkie Everytime refill day came around. My daughter never broke the contract they put her on. They just used a wall excise and cut her off.

No Excuse given. No extra funds for a Private Dr. at this time. I had had only a slight constipation issue, which is now controlled. I take only when absolutely needed. I don't feel high nor abuse them...Most of the directives I've read focus on Morphine and Oxy, very little is said about Hydros, especially the Minimal Dose I take...

Thank You for the reply

Hello, Whisper! How are you? I'm very sorry about what's happened.

Did the doctor give you a reason for doing this? It seems rather odd, since the directives for the VA are not usually dictated by the DEA, they can even get medications from foreign sources that the FDA has not approved for U.S. sale, as long as the federal government deems them safe.

Is there any chance you could see a civilian doctor?

The FDA warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth and constipation.
