I recently got an Rx of 600 mg Gabapentin made by Intas Pharmaceuticals. They are an India-based company and I fill my prescription through an Indian pharmacy. They don't have any imprints on them but they were in foil packs clearly marked. I just wonder if anybody has any experience with these?

That would enable me to check the ingredients for you. The FDA classifies this medication as being an anticonvulsant that is also used to treat certain types of nerve pain and some mood disorders. Its typical side effects may possibly include nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth, mood swings and weight gain. ## On my prescription bottle label, the manufacturer's name is right below the name of the drug in small print. Will gabapentin work for a severe toothache? I have gabapentin and it says it's for nerve pain but it doesn't list tooth pain. I know I have an exposed nerve. The pain is excruciating. Does anyone drink beer or other alcohol while taking this? I start on it tonight, increasing every 5 days to 900 mg total a day. I'm curious as to how much alcohol can be tolerated and if there are any reasons to avoid it completely. I like my Budweiser. Thanks for any input. ## Alcohol should be avoided while using this medication, especially at such a high dosage, because it can aggravate the side effects, making them much more problematic. I was given a couple 400mg gabapentins from a friend for some migraines, I took them but found out that I will be having a drug screen and am worried that these pills can be detected, so please could someone let me know whether or not I'm worrying for nothing or if I have something to worry about, thanks ## If you've given yourself at least a few days, odds are that it's less likely to show up under any sort of urine, saliva, or blood test. What's more risky in my opinion, is the opportunity for a false-positive to show up. ## Has anyone had any problems with taking this drug? I recently started taking gabapentin to alleviate nerve pain from fibromyalgia, but now I am having a metal taste in my mouth and all the teeth brushing in the world doesn't stop it. I found an oval white pill with.Only gb. On one side and blank on the other. What is it?? ## Based on the description provided, the closest match I could locate is an oval white pill identified as Gabapentin (600 mg). This pill however is imprinted with "G 31" on one side and blank on the other - as opposed to "GB". NOTE: there is also a score line separating the G and 31. Manufacturer: Glenmark Generics Inc. I was given gabapentin after a spinal injury that resulted in severe radiating pain down my legs. Thanks to a great physical therapist, and a lot of hard work, things are better now. Not perfect. But a lot better. I took the gabapentin for two days. The first day I felt fine (all things considered)... but the gabapentin didn't seem to have any real side effects. The second day, I honestly felt like I was on narcotics or something. I could barely move off the couch and, though I have never used heroin, I am very, very familiar with prescription opioids. I've been taking this drug for three weeks at 100 mg once a day, nightly. My breasts are so tender and they look like they are twice their normal size. Could it be the gabapentin? How long will it take to get out of my system? ## It has been known to cause breast enlargement, according to FDA reports, along with nausea, dizziness, mood swings and weight gain. My pain dr tests me of course and he doesn't give me nearly half of what my now non-practicing dr gave me for bulging disc and osteoarthritis in my l4 and l5 and s1 discs. I'm always in pain and 3 oxy 16 mg don't work when the topamax he gave metabolizes it so quickly. This is a rather large white oval tablet with 13 and 2 on one side and blank on the other, scored down the middle. What is it? I can't find any information. Any help would be much appreciated! ## @ARA, Based on your description, the closest match I'm finding is an 800mg Gabapentin tablet, used for neuropathic pain. It's depicted as a white oblong shaped pill imprinted with "G | 13" on one side and blank on the other -(but scored down the center on both sides). The only logical thing I can think of is that you may have misinterpreted the G for a 2 depending on the condition of the pill. There is an automatic disqualification for anyone taking any type of antiseizure medication. My wife is prescribed Trintellix for depression. This is anti-depressant #3 in our effort to alleviate both anxiety and depression. She has a propensity for abusing benzos, but that is not an option now. We’re only on day 8, but she doesn’t appear to be making any progress. She has access to gabapentin and is finding that if she takes a large amount of this med (gabapentin), she can get temporary relief, experiencing some energy and mood enhancement. I am presently taking gabapentin and if I forget 1 tablet it is awful. I can't sleep and my legs ache and the next morning because of the lack of sleep I can not function. I am on this medicine for back pain and I do believe it helps.. I would like to get off this drug and maybe try something natural but not sure what is in this.
