I took a drug test for employment & an oral swab was used. I do not use any illicit drugs but I was contacted & told my test came up positive for THC. I do know some people who use marijuana but I understand that it is very rare for a test to come up positive for second-hand smoke, especially with an oral swab b/c it is hard for them to detect marijuana to begin with. I take Ibuprofen at night. Could this have caused it? ## Ibuprofen has been known to cause a false positivr under certain circumstances. You need to ask to re-take it or to perform a more specific test on the previous sample. ## It is very easy to detect THC? Can someone please explain the difference between Ibuprofen, Acetaminophen, and Tylenol? I’m already maxed out on maximum Ibuprofen at 1600 mg a day spread out 4xs a day and a (really low dose of Gabapentin 200 mg 3xs a day) for forearm pain. The Ibuprofen isn’t enough when the pain hits hard and fast despite having a high tolerance for pain. ## Acetaminophen (also known as paracetamol or APAP) is the same thing as Tylenol. Tylenol is just the retail "brand" name. It is not an NSAID. It can be hard on your liver but typically won't cause ulcers or bleeding. Ibuprofen (brand name Advil) IS an NSAID which can increase your risk of bleeding, raise blood pressure and increase the chance of cardiovascular ailments. Tylenol and Ibuprofen are safe to take together and c...

Ibuprofen & Motrin is pure utter garbage which is nothing but lethal chemicals! ## @Marla, Artribion Vitaminado appears to be a product of Mexico. I'm also in Boise and have no clue where to find it around here. My guess is that your friend in California probably had to visit Mexico to even stumble upon it, unless of course they got it off the internet. It's certainly not illegal (simply containing OTC vitamins B1, B6 and B12 - which you can find together or separately at virtually any health food store or ...

My friend took Bioflu and Alaxan (Ibuprofen + Paracetamol) at the same time. The result was severe allergies on her whole body and face... Also caused dizziness, headache and loss of taste. What can she do about it and how many days will it take for the allergies to be gone? Please give us some advice. ## Bioflu contains Chlorpheniramine and Paracetamol, and Alaxan contains Ibuprofen and Paracetamol, so they should not be taken together, it can be very dangerous if someone takes too much Paracetamol, the NIH guidelines warns that no one should exceed 1,000mgs of it in any 8 hour period, and no more than 3,000mgs in any 24 hour period. As to the reaction, yes, it sounds like she is allergic to some ingredient in one of them, but she should have it checked out by a doctor to be safe. It i...

Can I take myprodol with coxflam at the same time? I have RA and for the first time in a few years my wrist is swollen and very painful. I do not want an inj. ## No, Myprodol contains Ibuprofen, Paracetamol, and Codeine, while Coxflam contains Meloxicam, this both it and hte Ibuprofen are nonsteroidal anti-inflammatories that are used to treat the same conditions, and it isn't safe to double up on them, due to the risk of liver damage, liver failure, stomach damage, and stomach ulceration, according to NIH reports. It would be best to stick with one, or the other. What type of shot have you been offered and why don't you want one?
