Lannett Adderall Reviews (Page 5) (Top voted first)

Updated

Today I picked up my 20mg x 2 daily adderall IR Instead of my usual adderall made by teva brand i was given a new type that I have never had before... It's supposedly a newer generic version from Lannett pharmaceuticals. It looks just like teva accept it's a lighter shade of peach color and it doesn't have that sweet flavor. It's more chalky like..its early evening and I decided to try one two hours have gone by and still nothing. Humm my question is has anyone else had the opportunity to try these newer version of adderall 20mg from Lannett pharmaceuticals? I will come back in a hour or so and give an update..oh i read a different blogpost and have read that some actually liked it better than teva brand but wished for the sweet taste but they claimed to like it so let's see what others have to say thx for your opinion.

As you all can see McKesson still lists TEVA

So does TEVA

Re: T (# 43) Expand Referenced Message

Strange. Maybe I had a bad batch, I tossed it out last month and refuse it. Everyone has absolutely diff reactions it’s amazing how different. I don’t prefer any brand over a next, specifically because “I’ll take whatever helps me function to treat my adhd” so I’m open however, honestly the lannett version put me straight to nap

Re: Sash (# 51) Expand Referenced Message

I am so glad you responded! So if I were to relay to my doctor what I choose, I should say 'sansoz" and that's it, besides the fact i take much better to IR? Sorry for not understanding initially. Appreciated. Hope to hear back!

Re: Charlie (# 71) Expand Referenced Message

Charlie I called around and Publix can get TEVA. Tell pharmacist that your doctor says you need TEVA and they'll tell you if it's their preferred generic. CVS and Walge will NOT get TEVA.

Re: Jr (# 79) Expand Referenced Message

Walgreens was able to do a partial fill of Lannett and a partial of Camber. I haven’t taken Camber by itself yet, I took half of one Camber with Lannett half, but I can tell a difference. Camber actually works. The only side effect is kind of a physical hangover feeling. Some pressure behind the eyes, feels just like a hangover. Other people have talked about it before online and now I know what they mean. But I’m willing to deal with that since it at least works. Pharmacist said they’re probably not gonna be getting Lannett anymore at Walgreens pharmacies. She said the generic market for Adderall is just too competitive and that Camber/Ascent probably offers it cheaper now.

Re: Jr (# 79) Expand Referenced Message

I believe it is manufactured by Ascent and distributed by Camber, so the bottle says Camber.

This is so messed up. They should all work the same!

Here's what I say: Controlled substance? Yeah right!

Re: Rcma (# 82) Expand Referenced Message

After 3 weeks of taking Camber I can say the hangover I described earlier isn’t what you’re describing. At first, I thought it was because I was taking too much (even tho I’ve been taking the same dose many years) or it was hitting all at once. But typically when I’ve done that, that’s a headache feeling with bad mood to go along with it. This feeling is more like not a pain but almost pressure in the sinus and eye area. Almost like allergies, but zero allergy symptoms. I haven’t felt it on another generic. It’s definitely not bad enough to switch generics because it actually works and I’m gonna be avoiding Teva for the foreseeable future anyway

Re: Rcma (# 15) Expand Referenced Message

I think you mean therapeutically equivalent, not bioequivalent. Since it had to pass bioequivalence tests to get approved. Don't think dissolving is the issue. To pass the bioequivalence standards, Lannett would have to break up as well as Teva. The problem is more likely the inactive ingredients and how involved with the active ingredient passing the blood brain barrier or not. Some may help, others may do nothing, still others may hinder it. Don't know the profiles of the inactive ingredients so can't point the finger at anything specific. But bioequivalence that is required for passing FDA testing is based on blood content of the API over time. And has to be fairly close. So it would have to be absorbed and pass the liver about as much for that to be true which negates it not breaking up well enough.

I do agree on trying to find a dose that is therapeutically as effective. I was not able to do so when I got switched to aurobindo from core pharma. Tripled my aurobindo dose and didn't work as well and wore off faster. Since less made it to the brain it seemed that there was more to affect the cardiovascular system. Which may be why some people have said aurobindo was all levo and not dextro, which technically isn't true, but can seem like it. Same deal with Sun pharma brand when getting switched to that. But individuals will have different experiences. Antacids should help in theory, but didn't seem to work for me in particular. But many have had very positive effects from it. Some people try to take it sublingually dissolving it under the tongue. Didn't help me with Aurobindo.

Re: dawnkaree (# 102) Expand Referenced Message

I've taken Lannett IR adderral for 2 days now instead of whatever the other generic is that i took for years, and it has no effect on me either. I hope my pharmacy will do what yours did and note not to fill it with that brand- hopefully that's not a switch they've made full time

Pretty much says it all. Don't ever let your MD or Pharmacist tell you otherwise....

Re: Walgreenie (# 80) Expand Referenced Message

That hangover is a classic side effect of
1) dosage too high
2) immediate release is being metabolized more quickly, so you get the jolt "it's working I feel it" and the hangover as you call it. Specifically the active ingredients are being metabolized in a shorter period of time so it's spike/crash. That's a red flag for Adderall. When people say "it doesn't work" sometimes it's because it's metabolized slowly. You never feel kick. Example... Drink a cup of strong coffee and you're zippy and want more in 3 to 5 hrs. Or drink 2oz of same coffee every 30 min. Same dosage of caffeine but never get a kick but never crash either. So it's possible your body oh levels are metabolizing it faster. More alkaline increases rapid uptake of amphetamine, so taking TUMS with Adderall will put MORE into bloodstream faster. This can be dangerous too. Not a doctor but I learned all this over 12 yrs

Never got lannett and hopefully never will after reading some comments. Been going to the same walgreens for years now and always TEVA in southwest florida. I just picked up my monthly script last week..TEVA b 973 20 mgs stamp, with a sweet after taste

Same exactly. I found that using GoodRx & Costco is a significant cost savings over insurance & Walgreens or CVS

This is literally the best review and explanation I have ever read about the varying effects of generic adderall, and I’ve read A LOT. Thank you.
