Leading Pharma Lorazepam Reviews (Page 5) (Top voted first)

Updated

I am really confused about everyone's posts concerning the leading brand Lorazepam. I have been taking the generic form of Lorazepam 2mg for 25 years. I've used every kind, from Watson to the current leading one. It appears that the sugary taste is the primary issue for everyone here.

The amount of negative reviews about this company is absurd. They are no different than any other generic Lorazepam; they work the same. The only difference in this pill is the inactive ingredient, which contains potassium, and that's why the pill tastes like sugar.

However, my point is, if you are a long-term user of benzos, you would have all ended up withdrawing and possibly seizing if the pill really didn't contain the main ingredient. The ER doctor would have been the first to report this pharmacy if your illness had anything to do with it. A negative review does nothing to persuade a discontinued manufacturer to bring back the generic form that any of us got comfortable with.

A Lorazepam is a Lorazepam, and the Leading Pharma Lorazepam is the same as any Lorazepam. It functions just like the rest.

It's good you filed a complaint with the FDA. I don't know about other Leading products - but they are scamming people with their Lorazepam. It's like a bad penny you can't get rid of.

How could they possibly ruin your teeth? Am I missing something here?

Oh please. These drugs are regulated. You just happen to see that it was a different manufacturer and your anxiety ridden mind went to left field. If it wasn't lorazepam you would have seized up.

I'm having difficulty trying to find out how to start a new thread so i hope no one minds if i ask this here....If your prescription is for 90 days (that's 270 tablets 3xday)....what happens over time when 7 months have 31 days (minus Feb' 28...still equals 5 days or 15 tablets short every year........the prescribing doc looked blank when I asked him......the pharmacist shrugged his shoulders......bet he wouldn't if he ever was washing out near the end of a prescription before its renewed. Do they ever give extra to cover the longer months?

Hello, so which brand do you recommend being the most effective out of the generic bunch? I’m having the same issues as everyone else. Ty.

Where I live (NJ) there appears to be only two options....Leading and Teva.... i prefer Teva if for no other reason, it takes up less space in a pill dispenser. I'd say their effectiveness is about the same for me...but everyone is different. My favorite was the pre-2013 Watson.

They have the opposite effect on me. Actually gave me energy and made me more agitated and all that... My doctor is gonna give me Valium now.

Re: Chinaman (# 94) Expand Referenced Message

My doc showed me a pamphlet put out by Wyeth about ativan. Doc was about to retire and didn't want his patients on 'addictive' medication.....in the pamphlet Wyeth was pushing Ativan as the better 'non-addictive' benzodiazepine.....yes, they lied. So I've been stuck on 6mg a day taking lorazepam ever since 1983. Even so, it was a little tough making the switch, it took about three months but granted my stress was elevated during that time as my Dad was dying.

Everybody reacts to every single drug ever made differently. Not two people are the same one pill can work for me but may not another. Even generics we all know what their tryna do. And don't even deny it

Re: Briards (# 11) Expand Referenced Message

Watson is no longer available. They were far superior in their genetics of Valium, hydracodone, a nd lorazapam. My 87 years mom who tuck Watson Valium every once in awhile. Had taken her usual dose one night and she said she was not getting any effect from them. So I looked at her prescription and it was a different generic. So if my elderly mother did not feel a thing. I know there is a difference

Re: DM (# 102) Expand Referenced Message

Wastson lorazepam (the original) hasn't been available since 2013/14......when Actavis bought them out they also bought the molds thus until Teva took over Actavis Lorazepam production, the old Watson molds were used so it still said "Watson" on them but if you compared it to the pre-2013 Watson, the letters were more blurry. I found the Actavis Watson to be less effective.....that's when I consulted an old pharmacist friend who gave me the info. I did find the original Teva lorazepam very good when I first started it..it was made in Israel......but that too changed...I then found out they were outsourcing exports to be made in the Czech Republic. (Sigh).

Yesterday my pharmacy told me they are able to order Teva 2mg lorazepam so I switched generics (they’ve only had Leading for a year). I used to take Teva generic before Leading and only needed half the amount.

Re: Abomb (# 3) Expand Referenced Message

I never had the option of Mylan but I heard it was pretty good. I started generics once i retired and lost health insurance....Ativan was good but for me it never stopped panic attacks nor extreme anxiety at times...my thinking did that.....I began generics with Watson.....by 2013/2014, Watson was bought by Actavis but they kept the molds so "watson' remained on the 'Actavis' lorazepam. In later years I've had Leading, Actavis and something called Major Pharma (never did find out exactly who they are) and then Teva (who recently bought Actavis's line of generics)......I consider myself lucky that they all basically worked the same. I do know (after 55 years of GAD and panic disorder....the more one concentrates on their symptoms and effectiveness of their meds (some people refuse to believe/accept this)....the worse they feel and many beliefs in ones health or meds- no matter how fallacious - can become fact for them.

Couldn't agree more........been taking lorazepam since 1983....same dose: 2mg x 3 day...... maybe some people are affected by the fillers...I have no idea why...I'm not a chemist......but I do know the first time I got Leading I read this forum....and THEN I considered Leading not as effective......until about a month or two later I realized not being focused on "the difference", there wasn't any...somehow Leading was working as well as the Watson......which I took after I stopped taking the brand name......anxious people are VERY affected by what they believe.
