Looking For A Good Pain Dr. In Las Vegas!
UpdatedThis is Geno, and I have been on opiate pain Meds since 1992, when I had my 4th of 9 final Knee Surgeries. I was on Lortab,10mgs/500. In 2003 I was in a head on Auto Accident, Fracturing 4 Vertibrae, 12 Ribs, Crushed Sternum, 2 broken ankles, and spent 22 days in Hospital. I am now 67, had no problem getting approved for Disability, then 2 yrs after that Medicare. My Pain Dr. at the time, would write me 180 Methadone, 180 Hydrocodone, and Xanax 60 for sleep. He was a Huge Hockey fan, played it, and moved back to Canada. When I bring EVERY X-Ray's, MRI's, CAT Scans, and all the Meds and dosage that I was getting. Since then, 2006, I have NOT been able to find a Pain Dr. who will give me the same amount. So for the last 4-5 days, I am out of The Hydrocodone (120 a month) but still nave the Methadone, but I am now 13 yrs. older, and my dosage has been cut back....Makes No sense! If anyone in Vegas, that cares about a Native Las Vegan, Played College Baseball, (Catcher, great for the knees)..Have just had Surgery on my C 2-3, and have had 3 Trigger shots into lower L-2-3, have really damaged Facet Joints, and The Morning is the worst time of my day. I now understand FULLY, why people commit Suicide, When you can't go out with friends,' cause of the chronic Pain....Don't worry, that's NOT my preference... Just need a good Pain Mgt Dr. here in Vegas, who is NOT afraid to treat a Sr., on Soc. Security, with Medi-care and an AARP Supplemental for Insurance! Thanks for reading, if you did!
