This medication says you should stay out of the sun, just wondering why? What would the side effects be if I was in the sun for a while? ## Most medications that tell you to stay out of the sun contain photo-toxic/light-sensitive chemical properties that may have an effect on your skin (possibly rash, or quickly sunburn, etc) if your in direct sunlight for a given length of time. Also one could experience nausea or headache from this. I'm not aware of any other possible side effects, but I would suggest wearing lots of high spf sunblock if you do go out in direct sunlight after taking the medication to help prevent any of this from happening. Or if you are able to do so, try and schedule to take this medication in the evening hours so you don't even have to worry about going out...

IS DUOFLEX A COMBINATION OF NAPROXIN AND MOTRIN? ## Hello, Peg! How are you? No, it actually doesn't contain the active ingredient from either one. Duoflex contains the active ingredient Carisoprodol, which is a muscle relaxant, and Diclofenac, which is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory. It's used to treat pain, swelling and muscle spasms. Side effects may include nausea, dizziness, headache, increased risk of bleeding, dry mouth and stomach irritation. Is there anything else I can help with? ## I think that answers my questions. Thanks. ## You are very welcome! Feel free to post back, if there's anything else I can help with!

I HAVE A WHITE LARGE OBLONG PILL ROUNDED AT BOTH ENDS THE SHAPE OF A MOTRIN, SCORED IN THE MIDDLE. ONE SIDE IS BLANK. THE OTHER HAS PAN 16 ON IT. IT WAS GIVEN TO ME FROM A FRIEND AFTER MY HAND SURGERY BUT I NEVER TOOK IT BECAUSE I DIDN'T KNOW WHAT IT WAS. CAN ANY ONE TELL ME? ## Hello, Rita! How are you? Is the marking possibly AN 15? If so, then this is Panadeine Extra, it contains 500mgs of Acetaminophen and 15mgs of Codeine. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Medications such as this with the higher amounts of Acetaminophen (Paracetamol) in them are no longer available in the U.S. Is there anything else I can help with?

I could really use some advice here. I moved to the Chicago area from out West and the pain management is like night and day from there to here. I feel like b/c there is such a drug abuse problem in the Chicagoland region the doctors I have seen are not willing to prescribe opiates and if they do they aren't willing to prescribe what is necessary to provide pain relief. The doctors I have been seeing in the Chicagoland area seem dead set on installing a Spinal Cord Stimulator. I have also had a doctor who only wants to do epidurals, injections and when he looked at what I was prescribed to when I came and saw him, he literally flipped out. Followed swiftly by a drastic drop in my medications and him saying "you'll be on motrin by this summer". Yet just a month and a 1/2 ...

I have oval shaped pills that have stamped on them IP465, ARE THESE MOTRIN OR IBUPROFIN? ## Motrin is Ibuprofen, it is just a name brand for it, but Ibuprofen is the active ingredient in it. I'm vegetarian and need to take Motrin, other then the gelatin capsule are there anymore animal ingredients in this product? Thank you. ## Once again, these are tablets, not capsules and, without knowing if you are getting the name brand or a generic, I can only provide you with information on the name brand product. Other than the active ingredient Ibuprofen, the name brand tablets are listed as containing: carnauba wax, colloidal silicon dioxide, croscarmellose sodium, hypromellose, lactose, magnesium stearate, microcrystalline cellulose, propylene glycol, titanium dioxide. The inactive ingredients can vary in the generics, from manufacturer to manufacturer, so that is only the list for the name brand product.

Can anyone tell me what this is? Someone sent these pills home with my husband stating they help with menstrual pain... I'm not a big advocate of pain meds - especially when I don't know what they are. These pills have TB 200 marked on them and they are blue/green, oblong gel pill . Any ideas? Thanks! ## The marking is actually intended to be IB 200, the bottom of the capital I just doesn't stamp very well on the gel substance. This is a generic or store brand of Motrin and contains 200mgs of Ibuprofen, so it is nothing dangerous. It is a NSAID that is commonly used to treat pain, fever and swelling. You can purchase them in almost any store. The gel capsules are meant to allow it t dissolve and work faster. Common side effects may include; nausea, drowsiness, headache and s...
