I am so glad to finally get reassurance that I'm not the only one who has been having issues with these new BS pills. Anon -- mine have a mixture of the balls and the white powder. This is why I originally got a bit worried about them. I was wondering if the manufacturer could have possibly made a mistake and screwed up. Honestly, this stuff is terrible. I can't even FEEL it when I take one of them. And it's supposedly 30 mgs! That's a lot! One souls absolutely feel that! I definately do when I take the normal ones. Today I took 3 x 30mg of these BS new R 3061 all orange ones and I had to get back into bed. Something needs to be done about this; I think these need to get taken off the market ASAP.

It's so strange because the other day I saw the first one of these in the all orange capsule with the r 3061 and I freaked out on my dealer because I thought he was trying to fool me with some random drug but he swore he got them from him doctor so I looked it up a little and saw that it is an amphetamine and dextroamphetamine just like the adderall's I used to get from him so I was like oh well and took it today for work & I have to say it worked for me, almost as the regular 'amphetamine salts 30mg' did. I don't think any generic will ever compare though, lol... Definately not as strong but still does the trick. Then today I got more from someone else who ALWAYS had the regulars, and they too had these new all orange capsules. It's weird that kind of all at once they came out in replace of the other ones. I wonder why................................................

Since starting this brand I too am exhausted, feel drugged, like I am dragging. I tried Vyvanse when it first came out and this is how I felt when I took the Vyvanse, only the Vyvanse was way worse.

There is a new generic Adderall XR that is being manufactured by the company Actavis Elizabeth.
From what I was able to find out, there formula is: hydroxypropyl cellulose / sucrose / starch, corn / talc / triethyl citrate / methacrylic acid - methyl methacrylate copolymer (1:1) / methacrylic acid - methyl methacrylate copolymer (1:2) / fd&c blue no. 1 / gelatin / titanium dioxide / d&c yellow no. 10 / fd&c blue no. 2 / fd&c red no. 40 / ferrosoferric oxide / propylene glycol / shellac
This differs from the formula for brand name and previous generic Adderall XR, which is: gelatin / hypromelloses / methacrylic acid - methyl methacrylate copolymer (1:1) / sucrose / talc / triethyl citrate / ferric oxide red / ferric oxide yellow
I too find the new Actavis medication to be very ineffective compared to the other generic brands. I had some difficulty tracking down a pharmacy with the desired brand in stock, but having the right meds makes all the difference!
This may differ by state/doctor/etc. but my doctor was unable to specify one generic over another on the script so I had to work with the pharmacist to get what I wanted.

This new Generic 3060 , have put me to sleep and in a lethargic mental state. I only use 15 mg. Per day and 30 mg. Of this generic have put me to sleep all day. I'm narcoleptic , I can't drive or do anything rutty now ,I'm foiling to sleep as I type

I have had the same experience. I have been prescribed 20mg XR amphetamine salts for the last 6 years. Last night I had to work through the night to meet a deadline for work. Unfortunately my travel bag and prescription was lost by the airline when returning from out of town this week. My sister is also prescribed so I got a 30mg XR from her (10mg more than my regular dose). Just two hours after taking it I felt the need to brew a pot of coffee. Another hour later I began questioning the pill so much that i wondered if her Dr. may have prescribed her a plecebo or something, so I asked her what the imprint on the capsule looked like. The R3061 seems to have a strike through the R. I am now 4 hours into the pill and feel like I could fall asleep if I wanted to. I will make sure to never make this mistake again.

yup had the same issues. my psychiatrists office has a small pharmacy in which they keep it stocked with proper meds since i had to go w/o for three months taking the all orange fake ones!

Ive been prescribed Adderall 30mg XR since I have been 17; I am 33 now and recently recieved the new generic Adderall 30mg XR. It is not nearly as effective as the brand name. Its very frustrating to just be switched and not have the pharmacy tell you.

i called my dr and she took care of it for me. the all orange xr's made me super tired as well and i suffered for three months! thank the LORD my dr understood and helped me out! they need to take the all orange off the market! it is GARBAGE!

the meds are crap the company did it on purpose cause they dont have the patent on it anymore and want people to switch to vyvanse i was taking ritalin and asked to try adderall i was prescribed it when i was a kid and know what it is suposed to do. these pills made me feel like i took sleeping pills and made me look like i was high, i used to do heroin and my mom thought i relapsed. it s a shady business people a greedy and dont care what gets me is the pharmacists insists its the same how do they know did they take it?

i have only taken or seen one kind of this drug, the capsules that say amphetamine salts on the bottle, but now all of a sudden the pharmacy has come out with a new generic, all orange, that do not work for me like the others did! i even called the pharmacy ahead of time to make sure they were in stock. they lied and said yes, got there and they gave me 10 of the original that i normally take, then said they had to order more, went back a few days later and they gave me the all orange ones that i had told them did not work for me!! i have medicaid and medicare and now the same pharmacy is saying the script has to have something on it written by the dr. NOT TRUE FOR THE SALTS ARE GENERIC AS WELL!! i dropped of scripts for a 2 month supply and now they are telling me i have to just deal with the all orange!?!? i am furious and clueless as to what to do!

Hi shaun,
When you switch brand names or manufacturers, the drug itself doesn't change, but rather the binders or fillers that they put with it. Certain "inactive" ingredients that may or may not be present in each brand, are actually detrimental to how the drug is metabolized and used by your body. Because everyone is different, your body may respond favorably with one medication and not the other (even if they're both Adderall Xr), due to how you feel or based on whatever side effects present themselves.
Although I haven't taken this medication, I can say that they probably have an array of inactive ingredients that are different than what you may be used to from past prescriptions.
