I do not have access to any other antibiotic at the moment but do have some nitrofurantoin. How many hours apart should you take nitrofurantoin suspension - 4 hours? It's for a 5 year old girl, for a urinary tract infection. ## Taking it 4 times daily would be around 6 hours apart. I took my last dose this afternoon. I was given this for a uti. About 3 days in i stareted feeling awful....nausea, sweats, body aches. However i really just wanted my uti gone, and it was to late to call dr. Now my eyes really hurt, I have a small spot on both my eyes....I am wondering if this will go away now that i have finished meds or do i need to follow up with dr? ## It never hurts to have such issues checked out by your doctor, there is a chance these symptoms may go away, according to NIH reports, but there is a chance they might be unrelated. It's a capsule. 1/2 gray, 1/2 peach. I want to give blood but I'm on nitrofurantoin as I suffer from cystitis very easily. I've got in touch with the NHS give blood company but they didn't reply to me after they asked what I take it for. i use these pills for kindey inffection if i stop usin them wat will happen ## If you don't finish the full course of an antibiotic, there is a definite risk that the bacteria that caused the infection will not be eradicated and will develop into antibiotic resistant bacteria. Such 'super' bacteria can make you very ill and will be much, much harder to eradicate with other antibiotics. I started taking Macrobid for a UTI, I only took one pill yesterday and one today. This afternoon my right eye hurts and waters some. I have had dry eye issues in the eye previously. I am also female and 62 years old. Hi I started on this drug 100mg twice a day for a suspected UTI infection this is the second day and I have terrible Diarrhea..I also have a rectal/vaginal fistula so you can imagine I have fecal leakage .my poo is not exactly watery and no blood as far as I can tell.I need to know if I should stop this med now or will the symptoms ease ..I feel Dizzy and have been slightly sick.please can you help me .Thank you . ## Diarrhea can be a normal side effect of this medication, according to the NIH, you may also experience nausea, dizziness, headache, and stomach pain.
