*Soma can be very addictive**

Meprobamate was first synthesized and named it Miltown after the borough of Milltown in New Jersey. Launched in 1955, it rapidly became the first blockbuster psychotropic drug in American history, becoming popular in Hollywood and gaining notoriety for its seemingly miraculous effects

Carisoprodol is not prescribed to give you a good feeling but as a skeletomuscular relaxant for acute muscle pain such as from sprains etc. in the longer term it is used for chronic lumbar pain and is extremely effective. Unfortunately it was banned several years ago in most countries and is now very hard to find and at least five times more expensive than before the ban. I have to source mine now from India where Centurion Prosoma 500mg is the best brand I have had bar the legendary Finadiet Listaflex (350mg) which is not permitted to be exported from Argentina any longer.

Aren't all meds like this to some degree? Soma is addictive and we become very tolerant of it. I wish I could try the old Miltown but Doctors just laugh when you mention it!

Hello, Cassie! How are you?

When you got a great feeling from it, that was just a side effect and they usually wear off after awhile, as your body gets used to the medication. It is completely normal for that to happen and trying to get those pleasant feelings back again is what leads many to abuse a medication, since they have to keep taking more and more of it to get them back.

Soma actually isn't addictive, it is just a muscle relaxant, though.

Is there anything else I can help with?

One of the main reasons it was rescheduled as a Schedule 4 med is its very ADDICTIVE

Yet here in the U.S. generic Soma still remains a very inexpensive medication. I pay $3 for 100 of them

Two things Eddy. Is the quality of carisoprodol from the US as good as Listaflex or Prosoma? I was once sent some which were dreadful. They had the imprint WW on them and the sender told me they were supposed to be a good brand.
Secondly, I have never, ever heard of carisoprodol being an addictive drug, and I used it three times daily for over twelve years. Stopping it when the ban came into force did NOT cause any type of withdrawal syndrome whatsoever so I ask, where on earth do you get the idea that it is addictive? The parent drug, meprobamate, is addictive, but not anywhere close to the scale of opioids, barbiturates or benzodiazepines. Isomeprobamate, aka carisoprodol, is different in effect and as I said does not produce any withdrawals. Must be psychological.

I can't answer your first question because I don't purchase illegal medicine on the Internet. As far as Soma being addictive, they break down in the liver into a controlled substance, and that is one of the reasons it was re classified into a controlled schedule 4 medication. I wont argue with you, perhaps it is part psychological but we are talking about SOMA's here. Even Rats love them!

I can't answer the quality of foreign sourced Soma. I did order from India once and they were weaker, no question. I just did a quick Soma count and I am over 1000 units, I have a helpful doctor. As far as being addictive, that is why they were re scheduled, and they do metabolize into Miltown in the liver, a powerful benzo of the 70's. However its all psychological!

Greetings to you Eddy. Your posting is almost a year old now, (today is March 18 '15). My insurance company has stopped paying for my SOMA this month, after eight years of taking that drug for my spinal issues. Your mention of paying $3 for 100 pills caught my attention, thus prompting this note, to ask you if that is a licensed pharmacy that I could fill a prescription for SOMA from? I am not on the web very often because of my remote location in the Cascade Mt. range in the state of Washington. I do however have cell phone service, so if you could please call or text me at {edited for privacy} thank you. Allan
