I have been taking Soma and Valium for dystonia because after many trials, is was the only combination that worked. I am now able to work full time. Now my doctor can no longer prescribe it because of the DEA. I am really fed up with the US and plan to move abroad because I was told that that combination or any of the above can NEVER be prescribed with a pain medication either NO MATTER WHAT THE DIAGNOSIS IS. It's total nonsense. The DEA is telling my neurologist how to treat the conditions he is an expect in. ## I certainly don't blame pain patients for wanting to leave the US with all the strict regulations that are now being placed upon every type of health care practitioner. I'm not sure if this could work, but in the meantime I'd even consider trying out a new docto...

I need to know if ciclobenzaprina is a muscle relaxer similar to Soma, and does it contain naproxin ## I HAVE AN EAR INFECTION AND AM USING SOFRACORT DROPS BUT HAVE PAIN IN THE MUSCLES OF MY NECK. IS MYLAN-CYCLOBENZAPRINE GOOD FOR THE MUSCLE PAIN IN NECK ## If youI mean Cyclobenziprine(flexiril) it is similar to soma. It is a milder muscle relaxer that is usually administered for long term pain relief. You may not notice the difference the first time you take it but after about a week you'll notice your pain getting better and no it does not contain naproxen(naprosen). Naproxen is an anti inflammatory. ## That is correct, thank you Janell! Learn more Cyclobenzaprine details here. Side effects to this muscle relaxant may include nausea, dizziness, headache and dry mouth. Are there an...

I don't care what people say ... its a narcotic or it isn't... it makes u feel f***ed up, period! if u are a recovering addict & plan to stay clean, stay away from somas. I learned the hard way after a doctor prescribed these to me & I had told him I was in recovery.. doctors either don't care of they just don't f***ing know ! ## No it is not a Narcotic. Can it be habit forming & addictive? Oh yeah! ## @chris, It's true that doctors don't always know what's best for their patient's specific needs. And at the end of the day, I think more patients should try to take it upon themselves to do their own research and not leave it all up to someone who may really care less about their situation. To my knowledge Soma is a non-narcotic medication, but ...

Does anyone know if this pill stamp is indicative of Soma 350 mg? My husband found this medium sized, round white pill on the floor and we're not sure which one of us dropped it. ## I didn't find a tablet with this marking in any of the FDA, or NIH databases, I even searched individual pictures of Soma, and it's generic, Carisoprodol. They do warn that it carries the risk of causing side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth, and headache. Can you please double check the imprint and post back? Have you also tried comparing it to your other pills to see if it matches any of them? ## Sodium bicarbonate 10 grain by “Rising Pharm” manufacturer. ## Why does a 650mg get replaced by a 10gr pill. same composition?

pill, white, not scored, no writing, large, round ## i received approx dime size round white pill scored no writing thats supposed to be soma did i get ripped off? ## If a tablet has no markings, then it is not any type of legal U.S. prescription medication. The FDA requires that they all have unique markings on them to enable their identification in case of emergency. By looking up the markings on a tablet it can be discovered what the tablet contains, what the dosage is, and what company manufactured it. If there are no markings on it, then it is most likely an over the counter product of some type, however, there is also a small chance that it might be a foreign medication, and if that is the case, there is no way of being certain what the tablets contain. *Soma contains the active i...

I have been on soma for about eight years. It really is the only muscle relaxer to really help. But recently most all doctors here in Georgia have stopped prescribing them. Do you know why this would be and are there any other muscle relaxers that may be similar to soma? ## The laws were changed a few years ago and Soma was made a controlled substance. You will find better medicine in the Muscle Relaxer family although it will not feel like Soma does ## There is really none comparable, it was the strongest one available. I've done well with both Flexeril and Skelaxin, but they may not work as well for you. The FDA lists the typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, and dry mouth. Is there anything else I can help with? ## I have degenerative spine disea...

round white pill same size as soma but no markings ## It's a very small all white pill with no markings or lines. ## Could be for almost anything over the counter. Could be a Vitamin C or any supplement ## Hello Comments, In the United States the FDA requires that medication be identifiable by its appearance (color, imprint, size, shape etc.). This means the pill you found can be a number of things ranging from a vitamin/supplement to a foreign drug that is not regulated by the FDA. If the pill turned out to be a vitamin or supplement it would be a daunting task to identify the pill with the limited information you have due to the sheer number of brands and types available in the United States. If you are concerned about the contents of the pill I would suggest you contact your loca...

How long does Soma stay in your urine?? My dr's office has a new machine that can detect ANYTHING even o.t.c meds.. I'm not suspose to be taking the soma anymore but its the only thing that helps me with my nerves & pain!! Also..does anyone know if it is a "controled substance" now?? I know whn I WAS perscribed to Soma..they was NOT controlled!!??? ## CEEPS: As with any drug, the amount you consume depends on the time it will be in your system. I am prescribed to SOMA and know for a fact that it is now considered a controlled substance. Anything you have to show a photo ID for at the pharmacy is also. This is just a guess, but I would think it takes 3-4 days to get out of your system. The good news is that Soma, along with a few other drugs have to be specifically te...

I just moved from NYC to the Florida panhandled. I am having a difficult time finding a pain management doctor who will continue the meds I have been on for a broken back, failed spinal fusion. I take oxycondone and soma. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. My other choice is to fly back to NY. Many thanks ## You will probably need to fly back to New York for now. However after a reasonable amount of time your out of state providers might cut you off and tell you to find a Doctor in your area ## I know this is older but just in case you're still looking...Dr. David Norfleet in crestview. I originally wrote on 3/16/14 looking for a pain doctor in north central Arkansas or southern Missouri...I live in Mountain Home, AR & am willing to drive to Springfield MO or as far south as Little Rock AR, as far west as Fayetteville or as far east as Jonesboro. I moved from California to Arkansas to be with my sister a year ago & am still unable to find a doctor here who will prescribe the meds I was taking in CA, which were 60 mg MSContin twice daily, 350 mg Soma three times daily, and 1-2 10 mg oxycodone every 4 hrs, plus a 3rd one 45 minutes later if I really needed it. It is like the twilight zone here in AR; every doctor thinks you're a drug addict even though I have all my surgery records, films, discharge instructions (I'd been in a nursing home for 2 yrs befor...

IT IS NEXT TO IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND ANY DOCTOR THAT WILL TAKE A NEW PATIENT AND PRESCRIBE ANY ANY ANY, CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE. THANKS TO DEA, WAR ON DRUGS IS NOW IN PAIN MANAGEMENT. ALSO INSURANCE COMPANIES AND A RECENT STUDY, THAT SHOWED A PATIENT MAY DIE IN THEIR SLEEP IF GIVEN OVER A CERTAIN AMOUNT OF TABS OF OPIATES IN A DAY. THIS IS A POOR EXAMPLE OF A STUDY. COULD BE 4 MG OR 1000 MG THAT IS WHY YOU NOW SEE ALL THE INSURANCE COMPANIES NOW PUTTING CAPS ON THE AMOUNT THEY WILL ALLOW YOU TO HAVE. THEY I GUESS ARE NOW PLAYING DOCTOR. THEY ARE MAKING IT HARDER AND MORE WORK FOR DOCS TO EVEN WANT TO PRESCRIBE CERTAIN MEDICATIONS. I HAVE BLUE CROSS AND MEDICARE AND NEVER...

Please help! I'm disabled and I can't get anywhere and I just need to know if they can have on markings.
