Updatedmy Dr prescribed Bactrim DS for 3 days to treat UTI is this duration long enough?

It really depends on the severity of the infection, so that might be appropriate, but only your doctor can decide. This antibiotic may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, non-allergic skin rash and diarrhea.
How long have you had the infection? Are you prone to getting them frequently?
Usually, the preferred antibiotic to treat UTIs is Nitrofurantoin.
