does anyone know how the 5, 7.5,10, compare to millagrams such as 30mg.. ## The numbers you have posted (5, 7.5, 10) refer to how many mg of Hydrocodone (the active narcotic ingredient) are in the med. Vicodin contains two major ingredients: Acetaminophen (found in Tylenol) and Hydrocodone. So, for example if you have a Vicodin 5/500, it means that the pill contains 5 mg Hydrocodone + 500 mg Acetaminophen. Hope this helps! ## Roy is correct, each one contains a different dose of the Hydrocodone, which is the active narcotic ingredient.

The pill is white and oblong in shape. On one side of the pill, there is an imprint of "IP". It's scored in the center, and on the other side, it is imprinted with "111". There is nothing on the opposite side of the pill. I have never received Vicodin that looks like this before. Could it perhaps be something else? ## The generic name for vicodin is hydrocodone. Did you pay less than you normally do for your prescriptions? ## I do not know the cost, I have 100% coverage. Yes, I have taken Vicodin before and yes, I know that Hydrocodone is Vicodin. I was saying I had my drugs filled at the same pharmacy for 9 years and I just didn't think this was Vicodin. ## Yes, this medication contains 500mgs of Acetaminophen and 5mgs of Hydrocodone, a generic for Vicodin.

I am trying to find out information on the above drug. In addition the numbers 5/500 ki was attached. Can you help discover what any of this means. ## It is a 5mg vicodin with 500 mg's of tylenol --- nothing big --- ## Hydrocodone is a narcotic pain releiver given for mild to moderate pain. The 5 is the amount of actual hydrocodone and the 500 is the amount of acetaminephen or tylenol in the pill. Just wondering if this was a typo..7.5/500? All I can find is 7.5/650 and 750. I know it is generic Vicodin but am worried about the directions saying take 1 or 2 when the previous script was for 5-500 and only was directed as take 1... I do not want to take more than before...5-500 was more than enough,.. Need to know if I should break in half..... ## Can you provide the imprint from the tablets? Including all letters, numbers, and/or logos? Then I can double check the dosage for you and the normal dose taken. It is made in that dosage, however, if your doctor did not mention changing your dosage, I would recommend calling their office to check, or checking with your pharmacist. It is not severely higher than the 7.5, but your doctor or pharmacy may have made a mistake. ## about hydroc...
