What Pharmacy Carries Sandoz 20 Mg Methylphenidate Hcl Besides Cvs

I am losing it trying to find a pharmacy other than CVS that carries the Sandoz brand of 20mg Methylphenidate hcl. I have tried most independent pharmacies and none of the major chains seem to have them. I called Walmart, Walgreens, Costco, Neighborcare, Riteaid, Safeway Pharmacy, SuperFresh Pharmacy, a bunch of small independents as well as a few epic pharmacies. The only reason I dont go to CVS is because They have to order it, I have been out for 3 days now, and there cash price is higher than anyone in town. I take three 20mg hcl tabs a day. Plus, my mother is one of the pharmacy techs at my neighborhood pharmacy and has been in recovery for 12 years and would go crazy if she new I was being prescribed generic ritalin. Although I have never had a substance abuse problem, and she knows I have been suffereing with add since I was 15 yrs old and actually had to repeat the 10th grade. My mom is way to in my business and checks my profile all the time to see if I have been picking up my other important meds. I have been going to an independent pharmacy in my town but they have switched to Methlyn which makes me edgy, nauseus, and even kills my stomach. Sorry this is so long. If anyone can help me out I would appreciate it. I live in Maryland. Thanks everyone

I live in Northern California, and have the same issues. Inferior generic methylphenidate has flooded the all the pharmacies, and I mean all if them will not even Order Sandbox Ritalin, because it is owned by Novartis. A German Firm.
The cheap crap, us made in Philadelphia, and also makes diet amphetamine's, and we're scolded by the FDA for not cleaning the drug between batches, literally mixing in other drugs, into their Ritalin products, which get given to children, all over our country.

Walgreens carries Watson brand I’ll brother when they are a peach colored and they carry both had and 20 mg. I agree, the warain brand Ritalin is definitely the best. the rest are complete junk.

yeah you would know that. Wtf you never even met him. I'm in aa and I'd be scared if someone I love was prescribed this useful but addictive drug. Mind your own business!!! With love Kiekie

Pharmacies can't get the brand they want. By law they get what they get. They have no choice in the matter!

I take methylphenidate 20MG ER. It's a new script and doesn't have the same affect as the old script, methylphenidate HCL 10MG ER.
Each script are equal in the daily dosage. how can I identify the manufacture for each script? The old script worked great for three years and was consistent each refill however the new one does not provide the same effect and causes me to be tired instead of the opposite.

I am having the same problem here, in North Dakota. I have been getting the Sandoz brand from White Drug, in Minot, ND, but this month they said they will not be ordering it for me any more because they are losing money on it. I am on Medicare now, and Medicare won't pay them what it costs the pharmacy.

If CVS carries them & will let me get them thru Medicare, that would be fine with me, but I have yet to find that out. If I just pay for it myself, it will cost me $162.99 a month. Does anyone know where I can get the Sandoz brand thru Medicare in ND?

Use an Rx discount card and U will get a tremendous savings. However, I live in the state of Michigan, and certain CVS pharmacies do not honor certain Rx coupons, so if I were you I would call first but most of them do. For example, I take 20 mg Ritalin as well and I do not like the Sandoz at all. I prefer the Watson (peach colored and says "Dan" on it) much better. I will wait three or four days if I have to to get the Watsons which they carry at Walgreens and I am having the same trouble as you are with the sandals with the Watsons because I can only find those at Walgreens and they are extremely expensive even with a coupon. CVS runs about $43.00 for a qty. of 120 tablets at 20 mg. w/ an Rx coupon.. I'll try to put it in a msg for U to show u an example. My best to you. :) ~Amy K. In Grand Rapids, Michigan

Find a local pharmacy that is accomadating for it's long time customers. My pharmacy, a stand alone, will have any brand of generic or name brand (if desired) within 24 hours. Next best, would be to find an established compounding pharmacy. Not the cheapest but you will get your RXs at lower margins than the big box stores and pharmacies.

Scarlett, I have been having similar issues but have found a couple places that do have them, not always, but usually within a week or so. I too am in Central Florida, are you on the Gulf Coast?

I'm on Ritalin 20mgs 2 times a day and for the last month everyone is out again.... Just went thru this 7 months ago. By the way I'm in central Florida. Asked my dr.to if I could try Nuvigil cause I printed out a free coupon. But, it's not working at all for my chronic fatigue or add and without the coupon it's almost $400!! My relationships are starting to suffer as well. I'm just about useless and my boyfriend doesn't believe much in medications;/

I live in Toronto and am forced to take 5mg generic Ritalin. It doesn't work. My dosage is 60 mg Ritalin either in 10 mg or 20 mg. Does anyone have any information on availability of 10mg or 20mg Ritalin, generic or name brand in Toronto? Urgent response requested.

Gosh, what a find coming across this site. I feel like I'm with friends that understand the difficulty in getting meds and understand the relief they provide. :)

The experiences you all have shared resonate with me. My son was on Ritalin for 7 years, I have been on it for almost 6. Sister is on Adderall. Rarely do others understand the speeding thoughts, distractions, sleeplessness, impulsivities, total need for stimulation but we usually adapt to careers where we can capitalize on our behavior but after awhile we need help. Most people with ADHD are smarter than average if we channel our mental energies.

I called Walgreen's Corporate Office and they have a mailorder department that can ship Ritalin to you overnight, they said (the associate has a son on it) it has to be a 3 month supply so most doctors don't write a schedule II drug for that much.

Hey, what if we all start calling corporate customer services and pharmacies that we are R-Team or Ritalin Team but we are regular people diagnosed with ADHD and none of us can find that little pill that makes us feel normal.

I hope Sandoz never Gels for some of us that gel makes them impossible to take it just kills my stomach. I don't know what is in that stuff but it makes the meds not worth taking.
