Will Taking Prozac And/or Loratadine Cause A False Positive?

I have tested positive for benzos three times in the past month (urine). I take over the counter loratadine (10 mg./day), tylenol, and prescription prozac (20 mg./day). Could any of these be causing the false positive or the combination of these?

From what I could gather, all three of those medications are known to cause false positives for Amphetamines, but I haven't seen anything yet suggesting Benzos...
Regardless of that, you, yourself, know that you didn't take what showed up on that test. On the cheaper, less reliable tests, it seems like anything is possible. False positives are known to occur on them anywhere from 4 to 50% of the time.

At this point, the best advice I can offer is that you try to dispute your case by getting re-tested with a gas chromatograph mass spectrometer. This method has the ability to distinguish the exact substance in question, but is not initially performed because of cost. However, it is often a follow-up option for those facing serious consequences such as a job loss or jail time. I think companies who don't use this method right off the bat are just too scared to spend a little extra money for the right results.

Is it too late to see if you can get the original sample re-tested?

No, the Prozac and Loratadine are both known to cause false positives for Amphetamines, but none of them have been known to do so for Benzodiazepines.
