Hello, Merry! How are you?
This medication doesn't become toxic after the expiration date, but it does lose effectiveness and probably won't work as well as it did, when new. Thus, it would be best to see your doctor for a new prescription.
The FDA lists the typical side effects of this medication as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, increased risk of bleeding and stomach irritation.
Is there anything else I can help with?
