lAMICTOL: i WROTE A WEEK AGO AND HAVENT' HEARD ANY RESPONSES. I NEED TO MAKE A DECISION WITH DR. BY MON.

LAMICTOL: I have very high, racing thoughts and speech. Rarely down, so don't want any drup that will bring me too high. i need focus, concentration and to listen/not talk. Important not to gain much weight as I now have a bit high cholesterol and exercise but don't want to go on those pills for cholesterol.
I'm very hyper, not bi-polar as far as they can tell, but 30 years of more getting me to now slow down is frustratiing:. Just taking Klonopin now which barely slows down but helps with anxiety -not much. Help. I dont want more issues, but don't Ritlin and those have NOT helped and Seroquel mainly made me a Zombie.

suggestions?

Lamictal contains the active ingredient Lamotrigine, it is an anticonvulsant that has also been shown to help lengthen the time between episodes of depression, and mania in some people that take it.

The FDA lits its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, double vision, blurred vision, dry mouth, and heartburn. Unlike most other mood stabilizing medications, Lamictal has been not been found to cause weight gain.
