What Is The Shelf Life Of Alprazolam Before It's Useless? (Page 8) (Top voted first)

I have a bottle of alprazolam from 2005 and I'm wondering if it's still good? It's 4 years old at the time of writing this.

In Oklahoma and needing a doctor who will prescribe alprazolam. Anyone on here know of one around Tulsa OKC area? I'll drive wherever I need to go. My dr retired, new doc won't rx..

Tabetha...when you ask God does he answer you? I think maybe you do need some Xanax... Do you also pray for rain? are you one of those people who feel that God takes care of you? That means you're floating through life not knowing what you're doing... Everyone is in control of their own lives.

No the devil is the reason,Jesus is the Healer and with you thinking that of Him you have no faith in Him.. He will heal you but by what you typed you are letting the devil make you think Jesus is the reason and is not healing you.... God Bless

She did not mean not to take your medication -she meant Jesus will help it work even better --you misunderstood the purpose of Jesus --He is here to help us in general and not to "fuss" at you but to see you as a whole person worth love as much as anybody else -- we all need love to help our attitudes about life -- you misunderstood her -- for some reason you expect the church to be "perfect" --it is made up of humans who do many unfortunate things as well as those who do good things -- this world is not heaven --that is for after this world --try it --you will like it -- Jesus is for everybody to help us feel better and even get well --sometimes --some of us have chronic problems...but we always have Jesus to ask for help --and He answers --with grace-- to help our situation.

Yes if you are sincere in your request then He is faithful and true to take away our addiction. He sometimes waits to see how faithful and true we are to our promise to quit before He really helps us. If He makes it too easy to quit the habit we might think we'll that was easy so I'm going to try it again. Next time It won't be so easy I promise it gets worse every time we relapse. I didn't believe it until I experienced it myself.

Rob: How do we know he didn't? How do we know WHAT he may've done while here, IF here at all? Don't forget, people back up what they say using the bible, and that book wasn't written by Jesus in fact, he doesn't speak anywhere in it, NO WHERE. Others repeat what they heard someone else say THEY heard him say. It's all a question of blind faith. If someone chooses to use being a believer to lead a more helpful life, more complete and caring for others, who cares what they read? Long as they don't insist, demand, or condemn others - as I see being done here in a drug blog lol. Funny where you find things eh? I think it's as indefensible to insist the Christian God exists than it is to insist it doesn't. Let's talk Xanax. Again: 1-year shelf life. Read the label.

Terri I have to tell you, frmo experience and education, that Xanax is toxic after 1 YEAR to your GI tract, you can experience severe cramping, nausea, vomiting etc. I've NEVER heard of a 15-yr shelf life. Perhaps for some people more than a year is okay but most folks don't take the chance, esp with a benzodiazepine.

My experience is that Xanax is extremely hard on your GI tract after 1 year. Cramping, severe nausea, vomiting, body aches. This seems common with most people. ONE YEAR and the drug is toxic to your system.

I think the real question is why do you have a bottle of Xanax around from 2005? Again, the manufacturer makes it clear, in the PDR and right on the label: Expires in one year. Even if you have Xanax older than that, anything over say, 18 months is just toxic. Everyone's body is different but I keep hearing the same experience: old Xanax makes you sick as a dog. Did me.

that's funny, pray and accept him as your savior for he can save your soul by cold turkey because he will remove the physical side effects of drug withdrawal. so if he fails its gods will anyway right? so who's will is it?

You need more than medication !!i once again must stress you are extremely delusional ,and are displaying all the signs of being mentally disturbed,your delusion is based on the premise that a man that died over 2000 years ago,one of many prophets could have any possible influence on your health issues,ps the advice I have freely given you I would usually charge 300 dollars for!!!kindest regards,dr David James .

The shelf life of Alprazolam should be located on the packaging of the drug. If not, then chances are that the medication is no longer good based on how many years it has been sitting there; however I am not an MD, so I cannot say for sure what may or may not be safe for you to consume.

I would urge you to contact your doctor or local physician to assess if the quality of the drug still remains.
