Belbuca 300+ Mcg (buprenorphine) For Chronic Pain Patients (Top voted first)

Updated

Has anyone else been prescribed Belbuca? I'm unable to have any other opiates prescribed to me and now I'm on this med. I'm surprised how well it works after a few adjustments to get the dosage right. I'm currently on 600 mcg 2x day. I have lots of back issues and I used to take Hyslinga 30 mg x 2 day and oxycodone 10 mg 5x day. This stuff is much easier to manage then the pills, and the pain relief is great..

The dosage for Belbuca begins at 75 mcg and doubles up to 900 mcg. I was started at 300 mcg then went up to 600 mcg, and find this dose pretty effective. So if someone starts out low and is not getting relief, ask your doctor to increase the dose, don't give up on it unless there's an underlying reason. Also, it's pricey, but most insurance companies will pay for it, I've been with 2 companies and they paid (I had to go through hoops with both of them, but it worked out)

That's awesome, so very glad that it is working so well for you, since it tends to be hit or miss for some people.

The FDA warns that Belbuca does carry the risk of being habit forming, and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, dry mouth, constipation, and headache.

Is anyone else also experiencing good results on this medication?

It's not supposed to be for pain it's for narcotic addiction

i want my daughter to get on this for pain. She is suffering so much because a nurse said that she threatened her years ago and they took her pain meds away. I can't even believe they believe this nurse because she's had so many complaints about how mean she is patients! My daughter demanded that they go through the call logs and find out the truth and nothing was done. So can doctors actually prescribe this medicine for pain without having a special license just for that? Asking for my daughter. Thank you.
