Watson vs. Mylan generic lorazepam side effects.

Been on Sandoz mfr. lorazepam for 10 years; no problems; no need to increase dose. Sandoz stopped mfr. Now, can only get these generic's & Actavis. Having lots of troubles getting results; either nothing or zonked. Anyone else w/any experience which mfr. is closer to Sandoz (since FDA approves up to 2% differences in generics). Thank you. ## Hello! I have been getting 90 days supplies of Lorazepam 1MG from SANDOZ....my new Rx just came and it's from ACTAVIS.....it does not work or relieve any anxiety at all....I might as well take a placebo...it does not work at all....I took 2 pills...nothing and then 1hour later took 2 more....before with the other brand...I would probably be asleep....but,nothing with this new brand.....I do not know what to do about this....... ## I have...

Inactive ingredients of Qualitest or Leading Pharma Lorazepam

What are the inactive ingredients of Qualitest lorazepam or Leading Pharma lorazepam? Does anybody know? It seems that its formula might have been changed because I feel 1mg is less effect than before or does not work. I used to take Ativan 1mg before abroad and one month from Kaiser in the U.S. but they gave me refill as generic lorazepam (Qualitest). I felt 50-60% effectiveness compared to Ativan(brand lorazepam). I can't take Watson lorazepam as it does not work for me causing side effects (rapid heart beats, sweating, anxiety, dehydration). Qualitest has less side effect (less dehydrated than Ativan) I did not have physical dependence on Ativan for long time and quit too. But this generic lorazepam is getting less effective over a few months. Also my pharmacy had changed Qualite...

Leading pharma 2mg Lorazepam

I am really confused with everyone posts about the leading brand lorazepam I take 2mg and have been on lorazepam generic form for 25 years I've taken every single kind from Watson to now leading it looks like the sugary taste is everyone's problem here such bad reviews about this company is obserred they are no different than any other generic lorazepam they work the same the only difference in this pill is that it's inactive ingredient contains potassium and that's why the pill taste like sugar but my point here is that if are a longtime user of benzos you people would have all ended up withdrawing and possibly seizing if the pill really didn't contain the main ingredient and the er doctor would have been the first to report this pharmacy if your illness had anythin...

Have you tried Leading Pharma or Teva Lorazepam?

Some people say it is less effective or has no effect due to less active ingredients, causing some side effects or reaction to someone. Some recommend Teva but some say it is not good. However, I can't get Teva as there is no pharmacy to dispense it in my area. I tried other brands after Qualitest was discontinued, but did not find any that work. ## It really varies from person to person, so there is not specific best pill that you can be told about. The FDA warns that Lorazepam carries the risk of being habit forming, and may cause side effects, such as dizziness, headache, nausea, mood changes, and irritability. What are the markings on the tablets you are currently taking? Can you please post back and clarify, so I can research more details for you? ## Leading Pharma lorazepam is...

Lorazepam treatment discontinuation

Why would doctors stop writting a prescription of Lorazepam, which has worked for over 20 years for a patient who has panic disorder, because the patient is now too old at 70? Any input is appreciated. ## Hello Yusho, This NIH Article briefly explains why your doctors are choosing to stop your prescription. In a nut shell the medication works fine but studies have shown that older patients are more likely to experience adverse side effects. Some of these side effects can be life threatening which is why the NIH and FDA strongly suggest ceasing prescribing the medication as the patient ages. I hope this helps. Please reply if you have any further questions or have additional information to add. ## i was just discussing this topic with my doctor. I believe that the ``newer generation'...

Lorazepam - Need to find a brand like Watson (not Actavis)

Help!!!! I've loved the Watson brand of Lorazepam. I just take a small amount and it eases my anxiety. HOWEVER, Actavis bought Watson and (trust me) the product is no longer effective. OMG. So frustrating. Does anyone know of a manufacturer that makes a Lorazepam comparable to Watson's? ## My lorazepam have Watson 541 stamped on them. ## I am curious as well, it seems like generic medications no longer hold standards. I have had a hard time finding a good generic Adderall IR. I’ve called every local pharmacy and even requested to order “what most people’s advice will be” and I can’t find one to do that for me. But if I could help any whatsoever I’d google independent pharmacy’s locally and call and simply tell them your new generic isn...

Lorazepam taste

I been taking lorazepam 1 mg white small round, soft and sweet tasting. I think these are meant to be taken sublingualy. I just got some that were crushed up but they were bitter. Anyone heard of bitter tasting lorazepam? White in color and not soft? ## Hi jessie, After seeing a number of comments from other users, I think the taste largely depends on which manufacturer you get. Most of the reviews I've come across state that they also had a extremely bitter or chalky taste in their mouth after having certain brands. While others have somewhat of a sweet taste. Perhaps one or more of the inactive ingredients that make up the tablet's composition, could be more prominent in a particular batch. That's just one theory anyway. Do you know which company it is who makes the bitter...

Lorazepam's Future

I came across a scary situation the other day that i think most people on lorazepam might be interested in. I take 1.5 mg of lorazepam a day, have been so for 30 years. My doctor has never mentioned any problems with my medication. Then last week i got a call from her that was frantic and uncontrollable, she kept repeating i have to wean down my dosage and kept repeating if you take oxycodone i could die. It was clear that she wasn't listening to one thing i was telling her. Today i called my family doctor to see what's going on with the DEA and he told me that recently they are looking at prescriptions over 1 mg. My first thought is i should get a new doctor. The conversation with the first doc, my shrink, was as unprofessional as i have ever had and if i don't have to ever...

Is Actavis Lorazepam the same as Watson?

Most pharmacies sell watson or actavis lorazepam in my area (LA), but I had serious side effects with no calming effect from watson so I returned to Rite Aid after taking one tablet. I heard that watson was taken over by actavis and they are manufactured at the same factory and same medicine. I used to take qualitest and that worked great but was discontinued. I also tried Mylan which was ok but they are discontinuing as they said they don't have inventory and don't know when the last batch is released. Leading pharma does not work for me, causing serious side effects. I visited or called about 30 pharmacies in my area but they only deal with leading pharma, watson and actavis. So I have no option but to try actavis, but if it's the same as watson, I think I can't take i...

Aurobindo Lorazepam

Has anyone taken this generic brand of Lorazepam made by Aurobindo pharm? How does it work compared to other brands? ## I refuse all meds made by Aurobindo. I say I am allergic. Idk what they put in the fake adderall they sell but it makes me feel awful so I will go without before I will accept them. ## Following. The only brands I ever tried were leading and watson. Would love to see what other brands are out there ## Idk about the benzos - Mallinckrodt adderall is really weak, but at least it doesn't give me slamming headaches and nausea. I have to take twice as much though. And I am a lightweight. I used to like Watson meds but I never see them anymore. ## I also refuse all drugs manufactured by Aurobindo. ## I usually find them at CVS and Rite Aid. Anywhere else I should avoid? ...

LOOKING FOR LORAZEPAM THAT IS EXACTLY LIKE WATSON BRAND

I've been taking Watson Pharmaceuticals Lorazepam and it worked great. Apparently, Actavis just took over Watson, and Watson no longer exists. I'm looking for another bran of Lorazepam that has the same Active & Inactive ingredients as the Watson brand, however, I can't locate the info on line and my pharmacy won't help me. Does anyone know what other manufacturer carries Lorazepam that is exactly the same as the Watson brand. Actavis and Sandoz manufacturer's Lorazepam does not work. ## Well, you're pharmacy won't help, because if the active ingredient is the same, they are considered the same. The inactive ingredients are called such for a reason, they don't affect the drug. How long have you been taking your current dose? It is possible that you...

Is Mylan Lorazepam Discontinued?

My pharmacy told me that they can't buy mylan any more and they do not know if it is discontinued or not. Since Qualitest lorazepam was discontinued, Mylan is the only lorazepam that works (less effective than Qualitest) but works with less side effects than others (Watson, leading pharma, actavis: don't work causing serious side effects). Any alternatives, or another generic lorazepam that works ok? Lorazepam is the only sedative that works for me for anxiety and stiffness due to side effects of levothyroxine. Other medicine such as clonazepam, alprazolam (xanax), cymbalta, zoloft, lexapro, etc do not work. ## I don't know about lorazepam being discontinued but I was told by two representatives the they are discontinuing clonazepam and I'm devastated. Lorazepam and Escitalopram

Sandoz Ativan

I switched pharmacies and was given Sandoz Ativan, I have been having a terrible time- it is like it is creating more anxiety. I switched back to my old pharmacy and am counting the days until I get back to the Milan manufacturer. It has been a horrid 2 weeks. Melatonin helps a great deal with sleep. I started off with Milan and had been on that for 2 years with no problems, I wonder if your body resists another generic brand and you have to adjust. All I know if Milan is what I need and I always get the same manufacturers for all my meds since 12 years ago from CVS- they are very consistent. Be very careful if you switch pharmacies, I learned that all generics are NOT THE SAME. ## Just found this out: Purepac/Activis was bought out by Watson in 2012. In October the FTC made Watson/Pure...

Mylan 2.5mg Lorazepam? Real or fake?

It’s a long story but traveling and needed medication for my anxiety. Have been off Lorazepam for a while but ended up in a situation where I needed to go local for some medication. Ended up with Mylan 2.5mg tabs. They came in a blister pack and seem labeled correctly. Also came in the original Mylan box. All seems okay but being from the US I’m accustomed to seeing the imprint. These have none. Only a score down the middle and white. Needless to say, I’m holding off on taking them. Not looking for a “fix”, looking for medication. First, I didn’t know and can’t find much documentation on Mylab creating a 2.5mg version. At least the website doesn’t mention it. The pack it came in lists the exp date to be in 2020 so it’s not old. The s...
