Withdrawals From Soma, Morphine, Xanax, Oxycodone - Help Please (Page 13)

Updated

I have been in pain management for years, lost my doctor along with other patients, and primary won't fill or says she can't and messes up my progress to get in new pain management in time. Now I'm losing Soma, was 3 times a day, now I have 7 tabs left. Was on 45 mg of morphine 3 times, oxycodone 15s and xanax 5 mg 3 times a day. Which she said she can not write for. Why, if she knew or thought this pain clinic was prescribing more than standard, did she never say a word until i had to go to her in desperation for this? Your primary that has to refer you and get info to get into a new pain clinic, I have very serious health issues no one is dealing with, I feel alone and suicidal. I even told my doctor and the old pain clinic staff that left, and not a bit of help, yet they know i have a history of heart failure, bleeds in brain from pain issues. No one cares, our country is falling apart and i asked again today for something for bp and high pulse, got nothing for it but a nurse, they did not send in the info two times that could have had me in pain management by now, and in having the colostomy i had to postpone since I wont do it with out pain mgmt on board.

Today they cut me back more 1 soma for a few days then no more, oxycodone 10mg 3 times to be cut on mon again and morphine cut from 45 3 x to 3o 2 times. All i can do is cry and sleep then cry more then no food, not drinking, feel horrible, and have lost desire to live and fight. These doctors put all on others and not one seems to care or no what to do with all of us real pain patients. I just want to die at this point for i am so tired of suffering and its only going to get worse. I feel so bad for all of the posts i have seen and know im not alone. All i see is the same four walls every day, go no where and before i felt i had some reason to fight and live to fight cancer and even cancer doc can not help get you in pain mang. They said today it will take at least 8 weeks to get in and ill be dead then or out of meds in a stroke etc. That is my biggest fear. Have had 3 bleeds in brain from this and pain is no joke.

The nurse said today we all are paying for those that dr shop and are addicted and i said i thought even addiction is a matter that needs treatment. They counted my tabs. I take drugs panels, did nothing wrong and most of my pain is caused from docs that did botched surgeries and cancer and injury from accident. I dont no what we all can do or if there is hope but it does not do good to ask on this site if someone knows where to get meds. Its not just docs its insurances companies and pharmacies. It's all getting way too much and hard for even a well person to figure out. I am ready to go home to my maker and wish he would take me soon. I am so tired of the lack of proper dr care in our country and its so sad i feel and pray for you all i want to know who is going to be responsible when i die or end up in a stroke due to this. Xanax withdrawals will be the worst too for i had them before for you can not sleep to escape the torture and they only get worse with time unlike opiates most docs dont seem to know this. I guess i have heart rate of 139 now and bp 200 over 133.

MM: Just make sure you get CBD-only products. Because the THC will come up on a drug panel and screw you up. I will ask my doctor if CBD comes up on a drug panel.

BL: Unless you are talking about CBD products. They contain no THC and are legal in all 50 states. They do not get you "high". Whether or not they come up in a drug panel, I'm not sure, but I suspect not. I am going to check for sure though.

MM: Ok, doc says as long as you use CBD ONLY products, and keep your intake under 250 to 300mgs, which is a LOT, you should be fine on the drug panels. I take about 25 to 35 mgs of CBD a day, so as I said, 200+ mgs is a lot of CBD. You should be fine. Just MAKE DOUBLE & TRIPLE SURE that you are only getting CBD. Those products I named are CBD only. Well, the wax and the Charlotte's Web oil are, for sure. Not sure about the terpenes. Good luck.

kkh, thank you because I need something for my pain, I am spiraling into a very deep depression with the low dose of meds my doctor has cut me to just like many others on here. I figured BL WOULD no since BL seems to have all of the answers

kkh, yes, CBD Products are not the same as CBD Oil. CBD Oil is not legal in all 50 States.

It is important to note mm said "...they told me they can get me anything from gummy bears, edibles whatever"

No I am not being "snippy" if you want to call coffee, tea, soda, sugar...all a "drug" than whoa! Guess you got me there. Since I have been researching relentlessly for information, I've tried several different views. Never once have I ever felt "high" , never felt any different except for a lift in my mood. It has never had a drug overdose attributed to it....ever! The worst thing will happen if you invest too much at a time, you'll get nauseated and puke it out. Since I am 100% sure of all my research from many different people and sites. I have full confidence in what I'm saying, I get discouraged when people make assumptions about kratom, then go and spread these as facts. I really wish you knew how harmless and how enormously helpful this planet is for chronic pain, opiate addicts, depression, and anxiety. Your erroneous comments will cause a few people to walk away from help, rather that to it....all because you refuse educate yourself...anyone at all who isn't sure....Google kratom for opiate withdrawals...read and inform your self. I know of a few people who very easily could of died without it.

Ssq, I also have tried different strains of kratom and it sure helped me with withdrawals, I did not think this was classified as a drug, it has not gone through any FDA has it? Look, I wouldn't care if it was a drug, at this point I am taking what I can get just so I can live some sort of life, when I don't have any meds I cannot even take a shower. If I was rich I would be buying what I need, unfortunately being on disability I cannot afford the basics, but if I could I would and I am just being honest.

Everyone has a different reaction to different drugs. Morphine controlled my pain and I was able to live an active life. Now they are reducing my morphine and upping oxycodine. Oxycodine makes me sleepy and it doesn't work as well on the pain. I'm researching marijuana strains and different delivery systems.

mm, the DEA may or may not reschedule Kratom at a later date. If they do they won't temporarily reschedule it.

You are 100% correct. It is NOT a drug. A little research and people would know the majority of the false / fake (news lol) being put out about kratom has been perpetuated by the pharmaceutical industry. Why pay for their hazardous chemicals if your able to use an all natural, non toxic organic plant? It terrifies me how close the DEA came to banning it.

SUE: "Kratom is a relatively new drug to the US and Europe. It has been used for many years in Southeast Asia as an anti-diarrheal medicine, a painkiller and a recreational drug. Kratom is the popular name for a tree and the drug comes from its leaves." You are just plain WRONG. Now it doesn't matter to me whether it is or not, or what the "media" says about it. If it works, then great! But you are wrong. Sorry, you just ARE.

Sue, where does it say kratom is a drug? If it were wouldn't we need scripts? I have ordered from various vendors on a few occasions. I am assuming if it were considered a drug the FDA would put restrictions on it. I too could care less if it is or isn't, all I know is it has helped me. You just have to experiment with a good quality product and different strains, just like medical marijuana. If it works and I can get my hands on it, I am going to use it. I need something when my doctor eventually cuts me completely off of everything. What is the alternative, sticking needles in our arms, I have known too many ppl die from this because their doctor cut their meds off. What's the answer? I don't have any and am so frustrated as we all are.

BL I was referring to having access to medical marijuana in different forms, I am curious as to how you handle your pain issues? You seem to no quite a bit about the laws, so are you a pain patient or just on here trying to give advice, I myself would like to no, what ends of the earth would you go to if you could not get out of bed everyday because you are in so much pain and nothing else works except meds??

Please, stop perpetuating the false information, surely if you are able to get on this site, than you have some access to reliable information. It has been used for CENTURIES in Asia. It was outlawed (I might be wrong off the top of my head as to country) Thailand because it was a competing crop for opium. People were harvesting Kratom instead of the much more lucrative opium which made their government rich. But if you want to call it a "drug" then I'll assume you call coffee a drug too...since they are both apart of the same coffee beans family. Since there has never been an overdose or fatality attributed to kratom, I'm not sure how you can call it a drug. Unless you are intentionally spreading false information. Are you worried for a reason, competition? Why?

mm, the DEA considered rescheduling kratom to a Schedule I drug. They still may. See link below.

Regarding Medical Marijuana, check the laws in your state. If you are required to pass drug panels, talk to that doctor before getting what you need to purchase Medical Marijuana legally and trying it. If you show positive for THC chances are very good the doctor will dismiss you. You will find it difficult if not impossible to find another doctor to prescribe pain meds.

It is not cheap to get the card or whatever your state requires to purchase it or to purchase.

Thank you for sharing that link....I wish everyone on here with a dependence on opiods would click on this link and read it, the bigger the outcry the more research will be done. Irregardless of what some people want to believe about it being a drug/ NOT a drug. You have a much better chance of fighting your dependence with it, than without. I believe this epidemic will cause almost all chronic pain patients to be cut off, legitimate as well as those who were unintentionally made addicts. People are going to DIE when this happens. I was suicidal until I found the gift of kratom.

Dear Grandma Pat,
I was just getting on my laptop and your story was the first one and i read it. You put me to tears and can only pray that you are alright. Only one person answered your plea, and it sounded just like the one my sister Dee said to my husband. She finally took her life due to back surgeries that only left her in severe pain. No one would help her medically. I had learned after the fact what she had told my husband. Had i known I would have jumped on a plane and demanded someone help her or i would take it to court. But, instead I jumped on a plane to only be able to see my sister in ICU blown up from the pills she took. TYLENOL was her only option. She couldn't even get pain meds to take, it was that bad.
She has been gone since 2003, and i miss her so much. I cant imagine what your going through, I am just praying that someone came to your rescue. I just wanted to make sure you are alright and got the help that you very much needed. You should go to another town or city and tell your story. If your in that much pain I cant imagine no one would help you. They would legally have to take you in if your suicidal actions were sincere. Its the law. So, with that said i pray your getting the help you so desperately need. God Bless

I'm so sorry about your sister. I have often wondered myself what happened to "Grandma Pat" As her post was 26 months ago. I sincerely believe we are going to see more and more chronic pain patients die. You have to jump through so many hoops at "pain management" the physical pain is horrible, but the mental , emotional pain is just as bad, I hope you tell your sisters story over and over...send a copy to the DEA .

Ssq... Thank you so much for replying, I have yet to hear anything about Grandma Pat. I just pray she got the help she so desperately needs. I have lost 2 sisters to suicide that suffered in pain. Mentally and Physically took their lives. You say I should write to the DEA, though people who know me and the suffering of my mental and physical status, say i should write a book. But I don't care to launder my words to anyone. But when I read G.P. it made me cry and how badly i miss my sisters. I guess we both can just pray she is doing well. No one should have to live in pain, including the people that have addiction to the opiates or any other medication, but it is given to the ones that DON'T need it. And the ones living with actual 24/7 pain, are the ones that get thrown to the curb. It's such a horrible way of life. No quality of life when you are an actual pain sufferer. Its nice to know someone is out there hearing me. The condition of my fingers make it very painful to type, so hopefully you're blessed and have a caring Dr. God Bless You...

SSQ: I think you have a skewed notion of what a "drug" is defined as. Yes, caffeine is a drug. Aspirin is a drug. Cough syrup. Garcinia Cambogia, tobacco/nicotine, milk thistle, even cough drops...I could name a hundred different things here that aren't dangerous, that come from benign sources, that you can't overdose on, that are considered drugs!

You seem to have this notion that "drugs" require a prescription, or that they have to be manufactured by Big Pharma. They don't. As far as the rest of it..."intentionally spreading false information"..."competition"...are you even serious? Because you sound a little nuts to be quite honest. You have attached this almost mythical negative connotation to the word "drug", which I don't really understand. ANY COMPOUND OR SUBSTANCE THAT ALTERS BRAIN OR BODY CHEMISTRY CAN BE CALLED A "DRUG". So maybe YOU should stop thinking that the word "drug" means "narcotic", or even "prescription", because it doesn't. In fact, regarding your "I assume you are able to get information" comment? Maybe YOU should Google "Is Kratom a drug", and read up on the first, oh, FIVE HUNDRED or so sites that come up. And those are NOT pharmaceutical company or DEA sites. They are not sites that are spreading "fake news". Because you are picking a fight over something pretty irrelevant, besides being wrong. I am involved in MEDICAL RESEARCH. I don't sell anything ("competition"? Really?), nor do I post anything but ACCURATE information on here. And unlike yourself, I have pretty clear knowledge of what the word "drug" actually means. Saying something is a drug isn't necessarily a bad thing!! CBD/MMJ is harmless, no one has OD'ed on them, they come from plants...and they are STILL drugs. You are getting caught up in semantics. I mean, saying something "comes from a plant" or saying "no one has ever overdosed from it" doesn't mean something isn't considered a "drug". I'm not sure why you are getting so worked up over this; over the word "drug".

Even the "Kratom User's Guide" says: "The leaves of the Kratom tree have been used as an herbal DRUG by the people's of Southeast Asia since time immemorial." Surely the "Kratom' User's Guide" isn't "intentionally spreading false information, is it?
