Adult daughter showing signs of agression on vyvanse

Hi The doctor in the ER just gave him a shot of benedryl for the itching. Just said to take him completly off the medicine and for him to see a neurologist.He has been off the medicine for two days.The jerking has not been bad. He still has the facial tics and some vocal tics.Slight with the jerking.He is still very irritable. He missed 5 days of school so far because of this.The mental health services that he was getting they are so stupid. I tried to worn the doctor that he might be having some vocal tics and she blew it off saying it was proably dry mouth from the medicine.I wasn't to sure at that time.They have not helped him there only did harm. I feel I can't trust a doctor and medicines anymore.I feel bad for anyone who suffered this or withdrawal symptoms.I just hope so much that it will eventually go away for my son. It was horrible experience for him and for us to see this happen. I haven't seen any other blogs about this medicine or anyone that experienced what my son did. Thank You

Shea, what did the doc say at the ER? How is your son doing now? I'm sorry about this horrible experience. I'm on AOL and Vyvanse advertises all over it. I wish we could get the word out about the dangers.

My son 14 years old started out taking vyvanse 20 mg then eventually to 40 mg. He hasn't been on the 40 mg long.All together he has been on the medicine for 2 months. Well the scary part is it gave him full blown tourette syndrome.He has been suffering terrible tics and muscle body jerking. He is biting at the air and has a few vocal tics.He is highly irritable.I never seen anything like this with my son. I am so disgusted with this medication and I don't recommend it at all. This has done my son a lot of suffering.I have to take him off cold turkey and I am worried on how he will feel.Any suggestions. I am very upset for what this has done to him. I had him in the emergency room tonight.

I've been on vyvanse for over a year and I just decided to stop using it because of all the anger I felt all the time. I've been off of it for 3 days and my withdrawal symptoms have been horrific. I do not recomend this medication to anyone.
