Doctors Willing To Prescribe Pain Meds (Page 8)

I am having a hard time finding a dr in staten island NY. Even after being diagnosed with multiple sclerosis 3years ago& being prescribed oxycontin for almost 2 years my dr has moved his practice& no other doctors are willing to help me the same way my last doc was now with him not around& me off the meds I was on for so long my pain from MS has progressed I do have all mri's& documents that state I do have MS. Can I be helped??

Hey, can you share dr info with me? {edited for privacy}. I just fractured my neck n my doc wont give them back, only methadone. I hate them. Please help. I live on long island.

Hi, the summer of last year I had shoulder reconstructive surgery. I have avoided pain meds whenever possible, but at times it has been impossible. Can you please share the doctor details.

I have the same problem. I also live in San Bernardino County. I have Lupus, MS, and a malt lymphoma like yourself. I have been to Loma Linda, and a pain specialist Dr. Germanovich. They treat me like a drug addict. I am 63, was on narcotics for pain for years. I worked, lead a productive life and had no problems. I probably won't be around many more years, and would like some quality of life before I go. I can't find anyone to help me either. They want to do invasive procedures that are more dangerous than narcotics, and when I say no, they refuse to treat me. If anyone knows of a compassionate Dr. in this area please tell us.

I have had the same experience. they don't seem to have any understanding of MS pain. It makes you suicidal. Dr.'s suck anymore.

I need a new Dr. I stopped taking my meds for a couple of weeks (perc 325/10 4x/day) to give my body a break....I substituted with some alcohol (which I never use)...since then my dr refused to write new percocet scripts and the 1st med switch caused vomiting, the 2nd was over $150/month when 120 percocets cost less than $1 dollar....seems like ALL Dr.s are afraid to write anything with oxycodone even though I'm taking drug panels monthly AND never increased meds in 3 years. Can anyone advise of a Dr. not afraid to write that script for a LEGIT back/neck problem that I do get epidural and facet shots for as well? Please help....then the CDC/Fda wonders WHY people buy them illegally when they cut off acute patient treatment...Why call a Dr 'pain management' when they are letting us walk around like cripples and stay bed ridden most days? BTW the SAME dr who claims he's not allowed to write them for me writes 120 Oxys/month to a hot girl I know!! The LIES!!! AND he doesn't even give her drug panels!!

Hi. My doctor informed me today that he will no longer be writing pain meds (I have been on Norco for years following spinal surgery.) That means nobody in the San Bernardino Mountains writes them now, except for a few doctors with already established patients who have unique situations. I am looking for a pain doctor in San Bernardino or surrounding area that can prescribe my Norco. I have been taking this for over 10 years, and my previous doctor told me that I would never want to go through feeling like I would inevitably feel if I abruptly stop (sweats, nausea, vomitting, etc)

They are awesome
Trust me you will get your meds. Take your bottles with u.

Very hard to get pain meds now even myself with a broken back 2 surgeries already it's really not right the DEA Is hamming doctors for helping people like us who can't live without meds . Any u have to see dr Alex weindarden in Long Island he will give u any pain meds u need . Comprehensive pain management in Jericho LI
